God Shows Us The Fruit Before The Seed

Good Afternoon Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

As Believers, we are living in an incredible and exciting time.  While most want to lament what used to be, we need to see today and tomorrow for what it is – a wonderful opportunity for God’s Children to prosper, to be and to have everything restored, and to be the exceeding bright light to a world plunging into deeper darkness each day.  You don’t need me to tell you how awful things are in the world and how politicians, executives, traders, governments, the ordinary person, the economy, the civil discourse, wars, rumors of war, etc. are upside down and sideways.  The “indicators” the US and the world have used in previous years to predict this and that and to give us signposts of where we are in the path of restoration and/or recovery are broken.  It’s as if everything points true north when you know you are traveling due south.

You may ask why this is so incredible and exciting?  Because of what God’s Word has to say to His Children.

Zechariah 8:11-2

11 But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts.

12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

Zechariah 8:11-12 is speaking to both a physical and spiritual revival of the Children of Israel.  We, as Believers, are included in the spiritual revival of Israel.  The Scriptures tell us there is no longer Jew or Gentile in the Kingdom of God – only children, sons and daughters of the Most High God.  When the Holy Spirit writes through Zechariah in verse 11, “as in the former days,” He is referring to the Old Covenant where man had to perform for God.  In the New Covenant, through Jesus Christ, God performs for man.

There are two seeds referred to in Zechariah 8:12.  The first “seed” is the seed of Abraham which we, as Believers, are through Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:29).  The second “seed’ is The Word decreed by the seed of Abraham.  Both “seeds” SHALL BE prosperous.  The verse goes on to describe the atmosphere and surroundings of the Believer in this very time we are living in today.  God promises He will cause His Children to possess all the things previously mentioned in the verse – ABUNDANCE!

” And the heavens shall give their dew,” means there will be no famine, no dryness, no parched ground, no desert, no wilderness of thorns and thistles for the Believer – that believes this.  In other words, economic downturns, inflation, dwindling sales, global depression, decreasing revenues, dwindling profitability, diminishing finances, etc. are NOT for you – unless you allow it.  What happens when there is plenty of dew for the ground?  It grows every seed planted in it and yields its many nutrients to ensure each seed produces a significant increase.  “The ground SHALL give her increase.”  Further, because “the ground is yielding her increase,” “the vine shall give her fruit.”  This only happens with The Blessing.  If we allow the curse to work in our lives, we’ll receive the opposite of what God promises in Zechariah 8:12 to His children.  We can’t blame God, we only have ourselves to blame if we’re not experiencing God’s promises and goodness.

Notice how our Holy Father works in Zechariah 8:12.  He speaks to the “fruit” first, then the “ground,” then the “dew.”  Our Precious Father is always showing us the outcome before the process.  He wants us excited for His promises to us.  Our Father shows us WE ALREADY HAVE THE FRUIT in the spiritual realm, we just need to plant the “seed” to manifest it in this physical world.

Plant the “seed” and wait for the harvest.  It is up to God with the “how.”  I love how our Father takes the burden off our shoulders by His performing of the “how.”  As the late and great Kenneth E. Hagin taught us, from his direct revelation from Jesus, there are four things we need to do as Believers to receive our blessing.  Jesus taught Kenneth this from Mark 5 about the woman with the issue of blood.  Jesus told Kenneth if ANY BELIEVER did these four, simple steps in faith, they would have what they say (Mark 11:22-25):

  1.  She said it.
  2.  She did it.
  3.  She received it.
  4.  She told it.

In closing, we must remember The Spirit of Faith will take the “victim” out of our voice, the whine out of our voice, the incessant speaking about the problem (our mountain) out of our voice, and replace it with The Spirit of Triumph, The Spirit of Praise, The Spirit of Thanks, and The Spirit of Blessing.  We’re seated in Christ at the right hand of God with the knowledge of Christ’s triumph.  STOP talking about our problems and START praising God for His healing, prosperity, deliverance, and protection.  Do this and watch your blessing manifest.

“Even the devil doesn’t care what you believe as long as you are quiet about it (Mark Hankins).”

In Christ,

Larry
