Good Morning Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
2022 is here, and what a great year it is for Believers in Jesus Christ as their Redeemer and the Son of God. More and more with this present Administration and the events of the world, I’m understanding why God mocks and laughs at the wisdom and works of natural man (unsaved). No matter where their degrees are from, what their experience and resumes are, the positions they’ve held or hold, they are powerless to change or dispel evil. POWERLESS. Who possesses the power to change and dispel evil? Believers – AND ONLY BELIEVERS. This means you. Don’t run from it like Jonah did at the start. Embrace it and enjoy the peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and the many benefits of our Father (Psalm 103:1-5), which are designed only to promote us at the appropriate time (I Peter 5:6) – never to do us harm or demote us (Romans 8:28 and 37).
As Believers, we can either be carnal or committed. Carnal is to believe some but not all of God’s Word. A Believer can be committed on one doctrine of God’s Word and carnal on another doctrine of God’s Word. For instance, financial prosperity. God gave Believers the power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18 and II Corinthians 9:6-11) to fulfill His commandment from Genesis 12:2-3 to Abraham’s seed (Galatians 3:29) – to be a blessing to the families of the earth. We can only be a blessing if we allow God to bless us and make our names great. Read it. It’s not my words, it’s God’s Word. Is God a liar? No, of course not (Titus 1:2). Man is the liar, not God (Numbers 23:19, Romans 3:4). If a Believer doesn’t believe God’s Word on the doctrine on prosperity, then the Believer is carnal with respect to prosperity. If a Believer is carnal with respect to prosperity, they will never experience the life and blessing of prosperity. Instead, they will experience the death and curse of mammon (carnal or natural money). I’ve written before that mammon is a spirit. Yes, money has an evil spirit attached to it. Money is not God’s creation; it is Satan’s as part of the fallen and cursed world. How does God command us to cleanse the money we receive and bless it? Yes, through the tithe. I’m not going to address this further. I’ve written about it in a series of previous emails.
This same Believer that doesn’t believe in God’s Word about prosperity may believe in God’s doctrine of healing. God made it possible to heal ourselves by His Word (I Peter 2:24) and faith, to be healed by the elders of the Church through the laying on of their hands and application of anointing oil (James 5:14-15), or by the spiritual gift of healing given to some Believers (I Corinthians 12:28). The Believer may believe and receive divine healing in this manner yet live a life of financial struggles. We must be fully persuaded or committed to ALL of God’s Word.
It is important for us to understand, as Believers, if we are going to live a life that is pleasing to God, it must be a life of faith. The Scriptures tell us “it is impossible to please Him without faith…” (Hebrews 11:6). Now, unlike some teachings, when God is not pleased with you, it doesn’t mean He doesn’t love you dearly and try to correct you through conviction by the Holy Spirit of what God’s Word says. God doesn’t turn His back on you, scowl at you, beat you up, or inflict you with the curse or with some crazy punishment when you aren’t in faith (fully persuaded) about a doctrine or commandment of His. Instead, He lovingly tries to teach you the Truth so you can experience ALL His incredible goodness. He wants you to have it ALL and to live the HIGH LIFE.
What you believe will be solely influenced by what you use as your foundation. I like what Dr. Ken Hamn of the Answers in Genesis Ministry said about a Believer’s foundation. “Ultimately, there are only two ways of thinking: starting with the revelation from God (the Bible) as foundational to all thinking (including biology, history, and geology), resulting in a Christian worldview; or starting with man’s beliefs (for example, the evolutionary story) as foundational to all thinking, resulting in a secular worldview.
Most Christians have been indoctrinated through the media and education system to think in a secular way. They tend to take secular thinking to the Bible, instead of using the Bible to build their thinking (Romans 12:1–2; Ephesians 4:20–24).
The Bible says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge” (Proverbs 1:7) and “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10).”
Remember “the fear of the Lord” mentioned in the Scriptures is not literal fear of God. God never created fear. It is a part of the curse brought about by sin. It means “reverential trust.” Proverbs 9:10 says “the reverential trust of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” Who do you trust? Your broker or God’s Word? Your doctor or God’s Word? Your spouse or God’s Word? Your pastor, bishop, preacher, priest, or God’s Word? Your professor or God’s Word? Your president or God’s Word? Please understand I’m NOT putting down doctors, investment counselors, professors, clergy, marriage, or the present Administration of this country. However, as Believers, we START from a foundation of God’s Word – NOT from man’s wisdom and beliefs. This includes those that are clergy. We are clearly commanded in I John 4:1 to “try the spirits whether they are of God.” The “spirits” referenced in I John 4:1 is the “word” we are being given. If the word we are being given doesn’t line up with God’s Word, then the word is “anti-Christ.” Yes, it is that pure and that simple. God doesn’t deal in shades of gray. God’s Word is black and white.
In closing, if you are seeking to do something, before you do it, seek God’s Word and the Holy Spirit for the answer. If you depend on man’s wisdom and beliefs, there are consequences. You are acting foolishly and will get the results of foolishness. It may look and feel good for the moment, but the Scriptures are clear in time it will turn to bitterness and sorrows. I know. I’ve been there and done that in the past.
Romans 8:32
He [God] that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him [Jesus] up for us all, how shall He [God] not with Him [Jesus] also freely give us all things?
We are freely given all things in Heaven and in the earth by God The Father through Jesus Christ. Yes, YOU OWN IT ALL. If you can’t believe this, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you from God’s Word and help you to meditate upon it until you can receive it in faith. Once you do receive it in faith, you’ll begin to enjoy all that Jesus purchased for you through redemption. To refuse to do so is to put Jesus back on the cross because what He did the first time was not good enough.
In Christ,
Larry
