More Than The Crucifixion

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

This week the world celebrates the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and King, Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the Son of man.  We, as Believers, celebrate this every day.  While many churches will focus largely on the crucifixion, there is SO MUCH MORE to the passion than the crucifixion.

When Jesus prayed in the Garden that this cup might pass from Him, He prayed so hard and so earnestly, He sweat drops of blood.  Jesus was NOT praying because He feared the physical horror associated with it, He feared the separation from His Father and being made sin.  He had been with His Father for an eternity; now He was to be separated from Him.  The blood that Jesus sweated fell to the ground.  This blood removed the curse of the ground (Genesis 3) for Believers.

When Jesus was mocked, humiliated, and struck in the questioning or interrogation, He had a crown of thorns driven into His head.  Yes, it was placed on His head and beaten down until the thorns pierced through the skin of his head.  The blood Jesus shed from His head removed the curse from the mind of the Believer.

When Jesus was scourged, the blood He shed removed the curse against the physical body of the Believer.

When Jesus was crucified, the blood He shed removed the curse of the Law against the Believer with all sin past, present, and future forgiven once and for all.

When Jesus was in hell, He suffered the punishment of death and separation from God for the Believer.

When Jesus ascended from hell, He took the keys to hell and to death, so Satan no longer has power over the Believer (unless we give it to him).

When Jesus came before His Father with His blood, Jesus sanctified the Temple of Heaven from Satan’s corruption.

So, while it’s great Believers gather and celebrate Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection at Easter, let us be mindful and gain great wisdom of that which Christ truly did for us leading up to and including the crucifixion.  We, as Believers, have authority and power over this earth, over our minds, over our bodies, over our thinking, over our words, over our actions, over our surroundings, and over our destiny (on earth).  This was purchased for us by Jesus.

God is challenging Believers today with this message.  I, the Great I AM THAT I AM, gave my Son, My Beloved, for the whole world, that whosoever should believe on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  Is not My Son the most valuable thing to Me?  If you don’t believe that My Word is truth, and you don’t believe that I’ve given you healing, deliverance, protection, and prosperity, today, in this earth – NOT for when you get to Heaven, then you are saying I value healing, deliverance, protection, and prosperity more than My Son!!!  That I’ve withheld that which I value most and have given to you that which I value least.

I pray this week, and in particular, this weekend, we, as Believers, will meditate on ALL Jesus went through and purchased for us.  Not just the “religious” pomp and circumstance of Easter.  And I pray that we, as Believers, will exercise the authority and power given us to become the men and women God has called us to be and fulfill the assignment(s) He has for us.

Have an awesome day and rest of the week.  Because Christ lives and reigns, we are more than conquerors in this world.  Now, act like a conqueror in Christ.

Blessings,

Larry
