Why It Works for Some and Not for Others

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

We’re living in an exciting time!  When I say this to many Believers, I get every reason why it’s not an exciting time from the current administration in power to the faltering economy (it’s coming, rest assured) to COVID to all the pressures of evil and toil in this world.  My question to those who feel this way is “why?”  “Why? I just told you why?”  My reply is “I’ll raise your why with a how.”  You can imagine the strange looks.

Matthew 25:29

For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

This verse was spoken by Jesus Christ, The Word, when speaking of the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30.  This verse singularly explains why God’s Word works for some Believers and not for other Believers.  Because of this verse, “Christian” religion has given us many different denominations.  What do I mean?  Simply, if God’s Word doesn’t work for some, they conclude it’s not applicable today, or it’s a different interpretation.  Either way, they are changing God’s Word.  This is a big no-no.  We must learn that God’s Word is always true.  If it’s not working, it’s not the Word, it’s something we’re doing wrong.

Let’s examine what Jesus is saying in Matthew 25:29.  What does “hath” refer to in the verse?  “Hath” refers to wisdom.  “For unto every one that hath wisdom shall be given…….”  Where does “wisdom” originate?

Proverbs 2:6-7

6 For the LORD giveth wisdom:  out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

We have knowledge and understanding in the Bible, the Scriptures.  II Timothy 3:16 tells us “all Scripture is given by inspiration of God…..”  The Scripture is God-breathed into a seeking Believer through the Holy Spirit.  When we meditate knowledge and understanding, when we study the Word of God (II Timothy 2:15), God imparts wisdom.  We receive the “rhema” or “revealed Word of God.”  Revealed by whom?  By God through the Holy Spirit.  What happens when God imparts wisdom to a Believer?  The Believer grows in faith, in power.  They learn how to decree God’s Word over their situation and see God’s promise come to fruition – consistently.

Reviewing Matthew 25:29 again, we see the result of receiving God’s wisdom:  “he shall have abundance.”  Abundance of what?  All things:  Spiritual, physical (health), and material (finances and possessions).  Conversely, what happens to the Believer that doesn’t have wisdom?  The verse tells us, “that even that which you have (Spiritual, physical, and material) shall be taken away.”  Yes, you become a bankrupt Believer:  bankrupt Spiritually, physically (health), and materially (finances and possessions).  Now, don’t misunderstand.  You don’t lose your salvation, God still loves you dearly, and you will go to Heaven.  However, because the Believer doesn’t study, doesn’t seek God with all their heart, puts the world and the things of the world (job, family, church, business, sports, hobbies, sleep, etc.) ahead of investing in God and understanding how to operate in God’s Kingdom, Satan is able to prevent the Believer from recognizing his inheritance and even steals that which is not covered in faith.  That’s why the verse states, “from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.”

Sisters and Brothers, God, through the name of Jesus Christ, has given you all authority and power in this earth as a child of God, as an heir of God, and as a joint-heir of Jesus Christ.  But, if you’re not willing to invest time, study, meditation, and prayer into God and His Word, Jesus Christ, even that which you have shall be taken away.  Let’s don’t allow Satan to rob us of our inheritance, of the heritage given us by God through Jesus Christ.  Instead, why don’t we get wisdom from God and learn how to operate in the Kingdom of God, so we get the same results Jesus did while on this earth.  As Believers, we’re meant to do everything Jesus did and more (John 14:12).

LEARN TO SAY WHAT GOD SAYS SO HE CAN WATCH OVER HIS WORD AND MAKE IT SO FOR YOU

Blessings in Christ,

Larry
