Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
We’ve all heard of the legal term, “Power of Attorney.” According to Wikipedia, a “Power of Attorney” or letter of attorney is a written authorization to represent or act on another’s behalf in private affairs, business, or some other legal matter. The person authorizing the other to act is the principal, grantor, or donor (of the power). The one authorized to act is the agent, attorney, or in some common law jurisdictions, the attorney-in-fact.
Believers in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and their Redeemer are granted “Power of Attorney” by God the Father, through Jesus Christ. God the Father gives the Believer the power to do everything Jesus did, AND MORE, through His written authorization – The Word of God – Jesus Christ. Did you get this? There is a blood covenant between God the Father and Jesus the Son of man for Believers. And, there is nothing higher in enforcement or validity than the blood covenant. You will not hear this in religion. Believers are mankind. We must have an advocate, which is a man, perfect and holy, to represent us before a spiritual God the Father. This is Jesus the Son of man. Do you see now why God had to come to earth in the form of man, Jesus the Christ?
We, as Believers, are authorized to represent and act on behalf of Jesus Christ in this earth. To this end, we are given the same power and authority given to Jesus Christ by God the Father. When we conduct business, we are asked by others whom do we represent? We then reply we represent Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Most High God. Our written authorization is The Word of God. When we conduct business on Jesus’ behalf we conduct and enforce it in His Name – Jesus Christ.
We have only ONE name whereby we are to exercise the power and authority, the power of attorney, given us by God the Father – the matchless and all powerful name of Jesus Christ. This may shock you, but if you decree or pray in “The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost,” or “The Father,” or “The Son,” or some “saint,” or some relative or loved one, your prayer or decree is null and void. There is ONLY ONE NAME whereby you can legally exercise the power and authority of God’s Word – Jesus Christ. I know, I hear it all the time. But, my church said, my priest said, my pastor said, my daddy said, I don’t believe, I don’t agree……. And everything just said is nothing more than an opinion because it is not Truth. As I’ve said before, God doesn’t care about our opinion, our position, or our facts. He pays attention to ONE thing and ONE thing only – His Word. And He is not going to change His Word for any man.
Let’s see what God’s Word has to say about conducting business on behalf of Jesus Christ in the earth.
Revelation 19:13
And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God.
This verse, and the preceding verses in Revelation 19, is speaking of Jesus Christ. This verse makes it perfectly clear Jesus Christ is “The Word of God.”
John 1:1, 14
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Again, it is made clear by the Word of God that Jesus Christ is “The Word.”
In the Old Testament, we see God the Father referred to by many different names. A few of the many names are: Adonai, Elohim, Jehovah, Jehovah-Jireh, Jehovah-Rafah, Abba, El Elyon, El Shaddai, Yahweh, Elohim Chayim, Jehovah-Shalom, El Kanna, El Roi, Jehovah-Nissi, Jehovah-Ro’i, etc. The many names of God describes the character of God. Do you see God described this way in the New Testament? No, only in the Old Testament. Why? Let’s see what God’s Word has to say.
Psalm 138:2
I will worship toward Thy holy temple, and praise Thy Name for Thy lovingkindness and for Thy truth: for Thou hast magnified Thy Word above all Thy Name.
There you go! There is no confusion in God’s Word. Only confused men. God, the Father, has placed His Word – and who is The Word – Jesus Christ, above all of His, God the Father’s, name. So, all of the names of God the Father, from the Old Testament or the Old Covenant, are now summed up in the all powerful and anointed name of Jesus Christ.
John 16:23
And in that day, ye shall ask Me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My Name, He will give it you.
John 14:13-14
13And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14If ye shall ask any thing in My Name, I will do it.
Notice, Jesus did not say, “ask in My Father’s name, or ask in the Holy Spirit’s name.” He said, “ask in My Name.” What is His Name? Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 1:19-22
19And what is the exceeding greatness of His [God’s] power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His [God’s] mighty power,
20Which He [God] wrought in Christ, when He [God] raised Him [Christ] from the dead, and set Him [Christ] at His [God’s] own right hand in the heavenly places,
21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church,
We can plainly see in Ephesians 1:21 that God the Father set the name of Jesus Christ – The Word – above EVERY name in this world and in the world to come.
Philippians 2:9-10
9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him [Christ], and given Him a Name which is above every name:
10That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
There are many other verses which could be quoted. It is established that the name of Jesus Christ, The Word, is above EVERY name in Heaven, and in and under the earth. There is ONLY one name in which you can conduct legal business in the Kingdom of God – Jesus Christ. NOT in the name of the Father, NOT in the name of the Son, NOT in the name of the Holy Ghost, NOT in the name of Saint Whosoever, NOT in the name of a relative or loved one. Only in the name of Jesus Christ.
Acts 16:18
And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the Name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Acts 16:18 and John 14:26 are two just examples of the use of the name, Jesus Christ, to conduct kingdom business. In the matchless and all powerful name of Jesus Christ, YOU, the Believer, have a power of attorney via the Word of God to conduct business on Jesus’ behalf in this earth with all the rights, privileges, power, and honor given to Jesus Christ.
So, in summary, don’t follow the traditions of men and rudiments of this world (Colossians 2:8) and conduct kingdom business in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, or in the name of some saint, or in the name of a relative or loved one. Conduct business only in the name of Jesus Christ. God the Father, put all anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, all power and authority in the Heavens and the earth in the name of Jesus Christ, and commanded us to decree all things in this ONE NAME – JESUS CHRIST.
Much love in the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ,
Larry
