Good Evening All,

I meant to get this out earlier today, but God’s blessings just keep overcoming and overtaking me keeping me busy.  I praise and thank God for His bountiful and exceedingly abundant favor.  It’s amazing when God just drops business deals in your lap – deals I didn’t pursue, I didn’t work.  It reminds me of the following verse in Deuteronomy:

Deuteronomy 6:10-11

And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which He sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildest not,

And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not;

Brothers, this is the truth of God’s favor.  And every one of you can experience it.  It’s your choice, your will to believe it, decree it, and receive it.

During my study of “vengeance and recompense,” (Hebrews 10:30)(up to 34 pages of notes and not finished yet), the Holy Spirit brought the words, “Greater Works” to light in me.  When I say, “to light in me,” it means the Holy Spirit makes the Word to jump off the page at you, seemingly as if the Word is hovering off the page and illuminated.  The Words are found in John 14:12.

John 14:12

Verily, verily [means “truly”] I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and GREATER WORKS than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.

I’m not going to delve into explaining that we, today, are able to do all the miracles that Jesus did (heal, raise from the dead, cast out demons, etc.) which is the reference Jesus spoke “the works that I do shall he do also.”  A lot of Believers don’t believe in this, and it explains why they are so weak and ineffective in the Kingdom of God.  However, the focus of this email is the second part of the verse which references, “and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.”  I was curious about “greater works.”  What are these “greater works?”

The Holy Spirit revealed the “greater works.”  Jesus, during His earthly ministry, had one mission explained in Luke 4:18-19:

Luke 4:18-19

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.

To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Jesus read these verses in the synagogue on the sabbath day.  He was reading from Isaiah 61:1-2:

Isaiah 61:1-2

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me; because the LORD hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Notice that Jesus in Luke 4:18-19 stopped reading after, “To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”  However, in Isaiah 61:2, it continues with, “and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn” and continues all the way to verse 9 (you should read these verses).  Why is this?

The Holy Spirit has the ministry of Isaiah 61:2-9.  Once Jesus completed His earthly ministry and ascended into Heaven, He sent back the Holy Spirit, the Comforter (John 14:26).  Jesus’ ministry never had anything to do with vengeance.  And, don’t misunderstand vengeance.  It is not “revenge.”  Vengeance doesn’t involve hate, anger, wrath, retaliation, or the like.  It has to do with one thing and one thing only – justice.  God loves justice.  The essence or core of love is justice.  God is justice just as He is love.  You can’t be one without the other.  If you truly love, then you believe in justice.

The Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus into the earth in Acts 2 at the Feast of Pentecost.  This is where the prophecy of Isaiah 61:2-9 begins.  There is SO MUCH in these verses.  If you want to learn of them, you’ll have to come to the next Caleb’s Promise meeting.  These verses explain the “greater works.”  To bring it up a level, the Holy Spirit asked me, “did Jesus build schools, build orphanages, build businesses to generate wealth for God’s Kingdom, build training centers, retake spheres of influence in the local, state, regional, and national areas, etc.?”  I answered, no He didn’t.  The Holy Spirit said, “that’s because He’s called you and those Believers like you to do the “greater works.”  WOW!!!  Now, it all made sense.

This is why my Father has called my wife and me to build an orphanage, a Christian school, a church, a training center, businesses, etc.  Because in addition to the healing of persons, the casting out of demons, the raising from the dead, etc., we are to do the “greater works.”  I know there are folks like Paul Buchannan already involved in the “greater works.”  What “greater works” has the Father called you to do?  He has an assignment for every single Believer.  Many will never fulfill it, sadly enough.  But just one Believer on fire exercising the complete power and authority God has given them can send absolute shock waves through the physical world.

The enemy, Satan, uses deception to establish boundaries or walls which he keeps a lot of Believers trapped within.  Jesus made it very clear that if you are a Believer, you are not of this world:

John 17:14

I have given them Thy Word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Because a Believer is not of this world, it means Satan’s boundaries or walls cannot apply to them – UNLESS, they allow themselves to be trapped within the boundaries due to ignorance of God’s Word or unbelief of God’s Word.  Jesus means we are of the spiritual Kingdom of God.  The spiritual realm is superior to the physical realm.  Therefore, “we are not of this world.”

How are these boundaries established by Satan?  By what you allow into your heart:  the world or God’s inerrant, all powerful, spiritual Word.

Proverbs 4:23

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

The “heart” is the soul which contains your subconscious mind.  Whatever you feed yourself is what is going to come out of you when you are put under the pressures of the enemy or of life.

Proverbs 23:7

For as he [a man] thinketh in his heart, so is he:

God has called every one of you addressed here to “greater works.”  And, it all begins in Genesis 12:2-3:

Genesis 12:2-3

And I will make of thee a great nation and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

God wants to bless you and make your name great, SO that you can be a blessing to others.  But, nothing can happen until you accept the fact He has blessed you (Ephesians 1:3), He has given you great favor (Proverbs 3:4), you are the seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:29), and you are a joint-heir with Christ (Romans 8:17) and have everything Christ has been given.  Plus, you are as Christ is, right now at the right hand of God, in this world (I John 4:17).  Is Christ sick, diseased, infirmed?  No, neither should you be.  Is Christ struggling financially?  No, He is rich and you should be, too.  Is Christ deceived by Satan, the enemy?  No, and you shouldn’t be either.  Is Christ depressed?  No, and neither should you be.  Is Christ wise?  Yes, and you should be, too, in everything.  Are there any limitations of any kind for Christ?  No, and there should be none for you, too.

If you want to know more about these things, Peter makes it very clear how to do it in II Peter 1:2:

II Peter 1:2

Grace [unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor] and peace [shalom – peace, harmony, completeness, wholeness, prosperity, great welfare, tranquility] be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.

You can only get the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord through the Word of God.  There is simply no other way.  So, the challenge our Father has for you is to discover His grace and peace, how much He loves you, how much He’s done for you that you are not taking advantage of today.  Let’s all make our goal to exhaust everything of ourselves for Christ, while on this earth, so we can hear the glorious words, “well done my good and faithful son.”

Blessings to all in the name of Christ,

Larry
