Good Morning Brothers,

As I was studying this morning, the Holy Spirit continued providing “rhema” Word.  The world and carnal Believer deals in “logos” or information.  God makes “rhema” or revelation available to us through the Holy Spirit when we study.  The world and carnal Believer can only operate up to the glass ceiling imposed by the natural.  We can operate in the supernatural at the level and class of God through rhema or revelation.

Ephesians 4:29

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

“Corrupt” communication is anything that doesn’t line up with the Word of God.  If we are saying things contrary to the Word of God, this is corrupt communication in God’s eyes.  “Edifying” is “to instruct or benefit, to uplift.” “Minister” is “to contribute to, serve, wait on.”  “Grace” is “unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor of God.”

We’re to guard our mouths and ensure what we speak is in line with God’s Word and contributes to the benefit and uplifting of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all we have contact with every day – saved and unsaved, alike.

The Holy Spirit threw a little twist into His teaching today.  He asked me who the “hearers” were in this verse.  Naturally, I answered all those I have contact with throughout the day – family, friends, acquaintances, Brothers and Sisters in Christ, business partners, etc.  When I allowed the supernatural thoughts to take place, I plainly saw I had left out “ME.” I’m also a “hearer” of the words my mouth speaks.

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

The words we speak plant seeds in our heart.  The amoral heart grows whatever is planted there.  God’s Word tells us the force of His faith in us is increased by the “hearing of the Word of God.”  If we are speaking the word of the world, this is what will grow in us and root out faith.  If we are speaking the Word of God into our hearts, this is what will grow in us and grow the force of God’s faith in us.

Matthew 12:36

But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Jesus makes it perfectly clear in Matthew 12:35-37 that our words will either bless or curse us.  “Idle” words are exactly what Paul is speaking of as “corrupt communication” in Matthew.  The “day of judgment” is not a day reserved in Heaven where our words are judged.  It is speaking of the day the “idle” words or “corrupt communication” you have spoken comes back to you in this earth.

We can cancel all those corrupt communications and idle words we’ve spoken through prayer to our Father:

Dear Father,

Thank You for Your awesome grace, for Your unsearchable, unconditional love.  I’ve spoken words through the years I shouldn’t have spoken, words that don’t line up with Your Word – corrupt communication and idle words according to Your Word.  I repent of having spoken these words, and I cancel them in the name and blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Create in me the desire and the discipline to speak only what Your Word says of me, of Your promises, and of Your Goodness.  Even when the world and its wisdom say words contrary to what Your Word says Father, help me to reject the world and its wisdom and stand on the solid foundation and truth of Your Word, Jesus Christ.  Let You, my Father, be true in my heart and in my speech and every man of this world a liar.  I thank You Father that all of Your promises are in Jesus Christ, yes, and in Jesus Christ, amen, unto Your glory by us.  In Jesus’ precious name I pray.  Amen!

Blessing to your family and you this day.

Larry
