Interesting Facts from God’s Word

Morning Brothers,

Just some facts to share with you from ongoing studying that you may find interesting, enjoy, or even decide to study further.

  1. Two places God calls His Son, Jesus, Beloved, is at the River Jordan, lowest place on earth, 1400 feet below sea level and on Mt. Hermon, the highest place in Israel (during the transfiguration).  God is showing us at our lowest and highest points each day, we are the beloved of God.
  2. Peter, John, and James were at the transfiguration of Jesus.  Interesting how God has a purpose for every single thing that occurs from Him.  The Hebrew names and meaning of the names for the three men are:  Peter = Stone, John = Grace, James = Supplanter.  Peter represents the law.  John represents Grace.  James’ name meaning is “supplanter” which is to supercede and replace.”  Jesus Christ came to bring Grace to supplant or replace the Law.”  Do you think these three men being with Jesus at the transfiguration was coincidental?  What a mighty God!!
  3. If you were asked, “should we put the 10 Commandments back in schools,” what would you say?  Before God transformed my life four years ago, I would have resoundingly have said, “yes.”  But God has shown me the Law, which is what the 10 Commandments represent, is the worst thing you could put into the schools.  We should be putting John 3:16 into the schools.  The Law is nothing but condemnation.  Jesus Christ is Grace.  Galatians 5:1 tells us the Law is bondage and not to be entangled again with the yoke of bondage – the law.  Most people think sin is the yoke of bondage.  It’s not.  The Law is the yoke of bondage.  Grace is liberty of Christ.
  4. What voids faith in a person?  Most would answer sin.  However, God’s Word teaches us that the Law voids faith in Romans 4:14.
  5. Did you know that anyone, Preacher, Bishop, Pope, Priest, Pastor, Teacher, Evangelist, Missionary, etc., that preaches/teaches God’s Word wrong is doubly cursed?  Galatians 1:7-9 is very clear about this.  When reading the old English of King James, if it says “cursed,” this is a single cursing.  If it says, “accursed” this is a double or more severe curse.  God is VERY serious about His Word and the sanctity of it.
  6. Did you know Jesus Christ was slain before the foundation of the world?  Read Revelation 13:8 and Acts 2:23.  Nothing occurs in the physical realm that HASN’T ALREADY occurred in the spiritual realm.  Every Word of the Bible was spoken before the foundation of the world by God.  John 6:63 makes it very clear God’s Word is spirit and it is life.  A man must speak God’s Word to bring it into the physical realm of the earth.  Jesus could never have performed His miracles during His earthy ministry or have said, “I have finished the work that gavest Me to do” if it had not already occurred in the spiritual realm.  Jesus clearly had not finished the work His Father had given Him to do because He had not yet gone to the cross.  Meditate on this and let the Holy Spirit teach you some incredible things.
  7. Did you know God didn’t turn Job over to Satan as is widely taught?  We, as Believers, have a hedge of God’s favor about us.  The hedge is always in place as long as we are in faith.  When we give ourselves over to fear, doubt, unbelief, WE create openings in the hedge of God’s favor.  It is through the openings of fear, doubt, unbelief, that we give an opening to Satan to attack us.  Job opened the hedge with his “fear” in Job 1:5.  Many wrongly teach/preach that God turned Job over to Satan in Job 1:12.  This is not remotely close to the Truth.  God cannot lie (Titus 1:2).  Therefore, stupid Satan, who didn’t even realize the hedge about Job had an opening because of Job’s fear, states in Job 1:10 that he can’t touch Job because of the hedge.  God, who cannot lie, had to admit the hedge about Job had an opening because of Job’s mouth – his wrong words.  Instead of Job decreeing God’s promise and blessing over him and his family (just as we should be doing daily), he operates in fear and unbelief.  Job speaks of this fear in Job 3:25.  Job begins to realize in Job 6:24-25 his tongue – his words – had gotten him into this trials he was facing.  In Job 42, Job realizes it was not God that had done this to him (the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh – another terrible lie about our Father.  God never, ever takes anything he gives.  Satan does.), but his tongue, his heart’s unbelief and ignorance of God’s Word.  Job repents, the hedge is closed, and God restores everything in a double portion to him.  This is a WONDERFUL lesson for us.  God NEVER, EVER turns His children over to Satan.  And, it’s our tongue, that speaks our heart, that gets us into most of our trials.

I hope you enjoy.  My prayer is you will be encouraged to study any or all of the above.  The knowledge of God and His Son Jesus Christ is your KEY to a bountiful and joyous life.  If you want victory in your life, you will not get it through anything other than God’s Word.  The amount of victory in your life will be proportional to your investment of time in God’s Word.  Out of unfeigned love I encourage you to spend as much time as you possibly can “studying” God’s Word.  Remember, a moment of God’s favor is worth years of labor.  “Sweat equity” is a term of Satan’s system.   Did you know God had the Priests of the Temple wear linen?  Why?  Because He did not want them sweating.  Sweat is of the curse.  God wants nothing of the curse in His Temple.  Aren’t you God’s temple?  I know, don’t get hung up on it.  Yes, we do physically sweat and this is not a sin.  For us as Believers, it is the spiritual “sweat” God wants us to avoid – unbelief, doubt, fear, anxiety.

In love in Christ,

Larry
