The Rapture and The Second Coming – The Second Coming Part I

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus The Messiah, Jesus The Anointed One),

This week’s message will close out our focus on the Tribulation and begin our look at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the Millennial Reign (1,000 year) of Jesus Christ on this earth.

We’ve addressed the fact Jesus will have two touchpoints on earth during His Second Coming.  The first will be a Bozrah, modern-day Petra, in Southwestern Jordan, when Jesus supernaturally protects the approximately one-million messianic Jews, the remnant, who fled there after the abomination of desolation that occurred at the mid-point of the seven-year Tribulation.  The second touchpoint will be when Jesus touches down at the Mount of Olives with us, the Saints, accompanying Him.  This is when the Battle of Armageddon takes place.  The beast (antichrist) and the false prophet are captured and thrown alive into the eternal Lake of Fire (Revelation 19:20).  The rest of the armies are slain, and the birds of the earth are summoned to feast on their flesh (Revelation 19-17-18, 21).  Then, an angel descends with a chain and binds satan in the abyss within the earth for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-3).  This ushers in the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ.

Zechariah 14:1-5

1 Behold, the day of The LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

3 Then shall The LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle.

4 And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and The LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

As we can see in Zechariah 14:3-5, The Lord shall touch down on the Mount of Olives with His Saints (this is us).  When Jesus touches the Mount of Olives, there will be a very strong earthquake that will split the mount and essentially flatten it for miles around so that only Jerusalem is sitting up high above all the area.  The Lord Jesus with the “Sword of His Mouth” will pronounce a curse against the nations and armies and they will instantly be destroyed by a plague that will rot the flesh off their bones, and they shall turn on each other.  And every animal participating in the armies of those attacking shall be destroyed instantly by the curse.  All the wealth of the nations that come against Jerusalem will be gathered in Jerusalem.

Zechariah 14:12-15

12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.

14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

Jesus Christ shall be named and rule over all the earth as The King.

Zechariah 14:9

And The LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and His Name One.

When the Rapture occurs, the “Church Age” or the “Age of Grace” ends.  A new dispensation (how God interacts with man) begins called “the Dispensation of Judgement” or “The Millennial Reign.”  I would like to start our examination of The Second Coming and the start of The Millennial Reign by answering the question, “what’s it going to be like during the 1,000-year reign of Jesus Christ on this earth?  What is it going to be like for us?  We’ll answer this question.

  1. There will be no demonic influence during the Millennial Reign.  All demonic influence is under supernatural binding by Jesus Christ through The Word.

Revelation 19:20

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelation 20:1-3

20 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

  1. The curse that was placed upon the earth is going to be removed.

An example of the curse being removed will be animals reverting to being herbivores and no longer carnivores. This is the way it was before the fall of Adam and Eve and the introduction of the curse into the earth.  All animals will eat plant life and no longer flesh.  The animals will lose their ferociousness and venom.  They will no longer fear man and man will not fear them.

Isaiah 11:6-9 (the state of the earth during the Millennium)

6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp [cobra], and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ [snake’s] den.

9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Another example of the curse being removed from the earth is there will be no sickness and no death unless it is because of sin.  This is the “just” reward for sin.  Remember, we are now in the Dispensation of Judgment.

Isaiah 33:24

And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.

Isaiah 65:20 (only the cursed will die young where young is 100 years old in the verse)

There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

Every deformity will be healed at the inception of the Millennium.

Isaiah 29:18

And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

Isaiah 35:4-6

4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; He will come and save you.

5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

  1. There will be no oppression during the 1,000 years (no war, no lack of peace).

Isaiah 14:3-7

3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon [antichrist], and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

Notice in Isaiah 14:7 it tells us “the whole earth is at rest, and is quiet.”  The whole earth is at peace, and there is no arguing.  Everyone is of one accord.

  1. Mortals will reproduce.

Those who come through the Tribulation without taking the mark or number of the beast will live as mortals.  The children born to the mortals will have the Adamic nature and will be required to be born again.

Isaiah 65:20

There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

Jeremiah 31:29-30

29 In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.

30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

Those mortals who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will live long upon the earth.  Isaiah 65:22 tells us the life span of those mortals that are saved will be “as the days of a tree.”  The Hebrews understand the tree that is referenced is the “Olive tree.”  Olives trees can live on average 1,000 years and some nearly 2,000 years.  This is why Isaiah 65:20 tells us someone saved who dies at 100 years old is like an infant dying.  However, for the unsaved, his one hundred years will be accursed or doubly cursed.

Isaiah 65:22

They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

  1. We’ll all speak the same pure language.

The Lord will do this to bring the earth into one accord just as it was prior to the fall of man.  We will speak whatever language Adam and Eve spoke.

Zephaniah 3:9

For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of The LORD, to serve Him with one consent [accord].

  1. There is going to be great global prosperity through a perfect economic system created by Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 65:21-24

21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of The LORD, and their offspring with them.

24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Ezekiel 48:18 (farming to raise food for those working in the city.  People will be working)

And the residue in length over against the oblation of the holy portion shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward: and it shall be over against the oblation of the holy portion; and the increase thereof shall be for food unto them that serve the city.

In closing, we can start to see the Second Coming and the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ will be spectacular.  We, as Believers, will be involved with both.  Once The Marriage Supper of the Lamb takes place, wherever the Groom goes, Jesus, the Bride (us as Believers) will always be with Him.  We will never be separated from each other.  We’ll continue looking at the Millennial Reign in the next message.

Blessings in Christ Jesus,

Larry
