Anointing – Empowers You to Do God Things

Good Afternoon Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

We’ve all heard the story of Daniel and the three Hebrew children, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.  The three Hebrew children are probably better known to you by their Chaldean names of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, respectively.  Daniel’s Chaldean name was Belteshazzar.  You can read their story in the book of Daniel.

In Daniel 1:20, God blessed Daniel and the three Hebrew children with ten times better wisdom and understanding than that of King Nebuchadnezzar’s magicians and astrologers.  The question is “why did God do this?  The answer is in Daniel 1:8.

Daniel 1:8

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

The Scriptures plainly tell us “Daniel purposed in his heart” he would serve and obey his God, Jehovah.  He would separate himself and not be conformed to the world (represented by the King and Babylon).  This honored God, so God honored Daniel by giving him favor and tender love with the prince of eunuchs.

Daniel 1:9

Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

And God also blessed Daniel and the three Hebrew children with knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom for their loyalty to Him.

Daniel 1:17

As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

We, today, have an anointing of God available to us, as Believers, for our performance to exceed any ability in the natural, secular, molecular world.  The anointing enables Believers to know things – not because we’ve experienced them but because of God’s ability placed on human flesh to do what only God can do.  This is the anointing – God empowering a man of flesh to do those things only God can do.  This is you.  You have the anointing.  You have the ability to do in this earth only what God can do.  I chuckle because many of you are looking cross eyed at me.  You don’t believe this.  I encourage you to study God’s Word and learn He has given you this very anointing, and you can do miraculous things and have miraculous results.  Study it, meditate it, confess it to yourself over and over until it becomes faith in your heart.  When it does, your confession will produce divine, supernatural results.  Be patient and never lose faith in exercising it until it becomes a consistent result in your life.

How did Daniel and his friends get the ability, receive the favor, the tender love, etc.?  It came by the grace of God.  If God will do this for Daniel and the three Hebrew children, He can endow you today because it is part of your inheritance as a Child of God.  In fact, because God did it for them, He must do it for you if you believe and confess it in faith.

God placed us in right standing with Him through Jesus Christ so we can reign as Kings in life on this earth.  God has a plan for each of us written in the volume of our lives.  He preprogrammed a marvelous plan for each of us which includes us living on earth like you were in Heaven.  God has NO plan for us to be poor, struggling, sick, infirmed, or in any other way unworthy of our calling.  Just the opposite.   Did you know God loves you as much as He loves His first begotten Son, Jesus?

God has created us to be a conduit to bring God’s Kingdom to this earth.  We cannot qualify ourselves for the job.  God is the Great Qualifier, and He says, “Who made your mouth?  Who created your potential?”  God is looking for the Daniels, those willing to make Him the Lord of their lives, and be willing and obedient to Him and His Word.  God will do wondrous things with those who will take the step of faith.

The Land of Canaan which is the Promised Land of the Old Testament, Old Covenant, represents rest – our rest.  It represents God’s best for us.  The Israelites conquered the land and soon after entered into a rest.  As long as the Israelites obeyed God and worshipped Him as the only God in their lives (not money, power, status, position, sex, drugs, etc.), there was rest in the Nation of Israel, the Land of Canaan.  Didn’t Jesus instruct His disciples to pray that God’s Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven?  Yes, He did.  This hasn’t changed.

Your supernatural performance is designed by God to create a platform sufficient for you to offer testimony of your Father to your family, friends, business, job, local, state, and national governments, to the world as a whole.  This is why God instructs Abraham, and us as the seed of Abraham through Jesus Christ, in Genesis 12:2-3 that He, God, will bless Abraham and make his name great so Abraham could be a blessing to all the families of the earth.  We’re called to be and do this.

Daniel and the three Hebrew children could have, through fear of King Nebuchadnezzar, given in to the king’s edict.  Instead, they chose to be loyal to the Word of their Heavenly Father.  Look what it did for them.  Each of them rose to prominence in Babylon as just rulers with Daniel rising to be the President over the Presidents, second only to the king.  Isn’t this what happened with Joseph in Egypt?  Is God a respecter of persons?  Of course not.  The grace and power He provided Daniel, the three Hebrew children, and Joseph, He’ll provide you – provided He is the God of your heart and all your being.  Dare to step outside the boat and walk on water with Jesus.  It’ll be exciting!

In Christ,

Larry
