Good Morning Brothers in Christ,
Recently in our latest Caleb’s Promise Meeting, we did a study on Redemption from Poverty. I had over 50 pages of handwritten notes that were condensed into 11 typed pages to fit into three hours of teaching. As always, when I go back and review what we studied, I find other things I wish I had included. God gives us so much great revelation from His Word on absolutely ANY topic.
When I say the word “prosperity” in most churches and places where I teach, I always get reactions from people. Reactions that range from scowls to crossed arms to a few smiles. Satan has done a superb job making prosperity a dirty word in churches. Beliefs about prosperity range from it is yours only if God sovereignly lets you, as a Believer, have it or you are to be content having just enough and any financial struggles you have is God teaching you a lesson, to be content, or if you are poor or struggling financially, it is God’s will for you as an individual Believer. As I say many times, this is all heresy. It is anti-Christ. It is 180 degrees diametrically opposed to God’s Truth in His Word.
Why does Satan make prosperity a dirty word among Believers? So they won’t come after it. He can keep it and control it. He can use it for terrible things such as wars, perversion, drugs, sex trade, pornography, promoting false religions [Islam, Buddhism, Mormonism, etc.], alcohol, educating our kids with perversion in schools, promoting perversion and anti-Christ on television, radio, social media, perverting politics, our constitution, our government, etc. And what does the church do? Withdraw, go milk-toast, act like a bunch of mamby-pamby’s, singing “When We All Get To Heaven, What a Glorious Day That Will Be,” allowing Satan to come into the church and defile the Word of God, Jesus Christ, while we let God’s earth go to hell, and we let Satan run around squatting on the land and wealth God meant for His Children and for His Kingdom on this earth.
Most churches know this about money: it is the root of all evil. Ok, I hope you did a pause after reading what I just wrote. Actually God’s Word says this about money:
I Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
It’s the “love” of money that’s the issue. You can see what happens to those who covet money for money’s sake. If they are Believers, they will stray from God’s Word and experience many sorrows in the process. Why do they stray? Because the money becomes their security, not God. They put their trust in the money and their lust in the money. They allow the money to create pride, self-esteem, and power in them. I’m not going into all the “sorrows” we’ve observed of people who love money. But we’ve all seen and see them everyday.
We’re going to take a brief look at God’s outlook on money, on riches, on wealth. You’ll have to study this out. But, I’ll get you started.
We all know the Children of Israel leaving Egypt in the “Exodus” is a biblical type, or picture, of the Believer coming to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and being rescued from the unsaved, eternally condemned world, which Egypt represents. Now, when the Children of Israel, which represents the “born-again Believer,” which is you, left Egypt, in what condition did they leave: poor, sick, exhausted from the slave work they performed on the pyramids and other structures, bruised, beaten, and broken from the tortuous treatment from the back-breaking work and the whippings of their slave masters, tattered, dirty clothing? Ah, nope! They left EXTREMELY RICH, EXTREMELY HEALTHY, and EXTREMELY BLESSED.
Exodus 3:21-22
21And I will give this people [Children of Israel] favor in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass that, when you go, ye shall not go empty:
22But every woman shall borrow of her neighbor, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil [rob, strip] the Egyptians.
Exodus 12:35-36
35And the Children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:
36And the LORD gave the people [Children of Israel] favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they [Egyptians] lent unto them [Children of Israel] such things as they required. And they spoiled [robbed, stripped] the Egyptians.
Ok, so God gives His Children instructions to strip or rob the valuable possessions of the Egyptians: the gold, silver, and jewels, and rich, fine clothing. How did this happen? God gave grace [unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor] to the Children and put this grace toward the Children in the hearts of the Egyptians. It was a temporary grace or favor, a good and perfect thing [James 1:17, Proverbs 3:4], given by God to the Egyptians for the sole purpose of rewarding His Children. As soon as the Children were days into the exodus, the grace or favor left the Egyptians and Pharaoh had a change of heart and wanted all his stuff back.
What kind of physical shape were the Children of Israel in when they left Egypt for the exodus to the Promised Land? Let’s see what God’s Word says:
Psalm 105:37
He [God] brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
During the night of the Passover, as the Children slept, God made all of the Children of Israel’s bodies whole, restored, renewed, invigorated, full of strength. There were NO sick people, no diseased people, no maimed people, no infirmed people, no crippled people. All of the Children’s bodies were completely restored. You could not see any sign of the years of malnutrition, abuse, beatings, tortures, affects of the back-breaking years of work, disease, crippled bodies, etc.
So, let’s do a quick inventory. The Children of Israel left Egypt incredibly rich, bodies completely made whole, wearing the finest of clothing, and blessed with The Blessing given to Abraham and his seed. Would you call this prosperity? Yes, and only a fool would say something other than prosperity. God means for His Children, this is you, to be prosperous, healthy, and successful. But why does God want His Children prosperous, healthy, and successful? I’ve written of this many times before: to fulfill our part of the Abrahamic Covenant – to bless the families of the earth.
Now, to top it off, where is God leading them? From the world, Egypt, to the Promised Land, the Kingdom of God, the land flowing with milk and honey.
Exodus 3:17
And I [God] have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.
Hmmm, a land flowing with milk and honey. That sounds prosperous doesn’t it? I’ve had Believers ask me why God would take the Children to a land filled with the giants and evil, terrible people represented by the seven nations above in Exodus 3:17. Why not give them another land? On the surface, that sounds like a reasonable question. However, just a little bit of study will give you the answer. The seven nations referenced in Exodus 3:17 are representative of seven evil spirts that are in this world – even today. I won’t go into each of the different nations and the spiritual evil they portray, but as a starter for you to do further study, the Hittites represent the spirit of fear and terror (hmmm, a lot of Hittite spirit in the Middle East and in Islam isn’t it), the Canaanites the spirit of perversion, especially sexual perversion (homosexuality, bestiality, pedophilia, etc), etc. Now, if you were an evil spirit, a giant, where would you congregate? Of course, where the riches of God are located. But, our loving Father, the great I AM THAT I AM, has a plan also. He is letting the evil spirits and giants build the walled cities, the homes filled with good things, the vineyards and orchards, the wells of spring water, the luscious fields of grain, the amazing livestock, etc. Why? So He can fulfill Deuteronomy 6:10-11 to the Children — to you the Believer. If you believe the Word of our Almighty Father, He has provided it for you if you believe His Word, see the expected end [Jeremiah 29:11], and decree it so it can be established for you [Job 22:28].
Now, answer me this, does Satan need money? Yes, he does. Satan needs man and money to accomplish his corrupt vision. Didn’t you notice what I Timothy 6:10 said above? The love of money is the ROOT OF ALL EVIL. Not some evil, ALL EVIL. Now, does God need money to accomplish His incorruptible vision on this earth? Yes, He does! Don’t pass out, it’s not a blasphemous statement. It’s the Truth. God needs man and money to accomplish His incorruptible vision on this earth. Who owns the title deed to the earth? Man does [Psalm 115:16]. God gave it to him in Genesis 1:26, 28, Satan stole it when Adam sinned, and Jesus, the Son of man, took it back at the cross and resurrection.
Although Jesus took back the title deed of the earth and gives it to the Believer, Satan is still illegally holding on to the kingdoms [business, government, education, arts and entertainment, family, religion, and media] and the wealth of the earth. What is Satan doing with the wealth of the earth? He is using it to promote his perversion of everything good and perfect that God has made. Look what Satan has done with the wonderful act of sex that God gave His Children, Adam and Eve, to procreate, to multiply, and to take pleasure in each other. Satan perverted it and now you have adultery, sex outside of marriage, homosexuality, pornography, and all kinds of other sexual perversions. What comes from a perversion: sickness, disease, broken marriages, broken children, damaged minds and souls, mental and physical scars, decay, rot, and death? Nothing good and perfect as God created it to be for His Children.
It is God’s intention, clearly laid out in His Word, that we, the Believers, are to take back everything we can from Satan until we leave this earth or the Rapture occurs. We are to take it and use it for good – to bless others: to lift people out of poverty, to heal people, to feed people, to educate people in God’s Word and in skills to create more wealth and riches, to cloth people, to love people, to show people God the Father’s love for them. We are to do what we are called to do in Genesis 12:2-3 and in John 14:12. God said He would bless us and make our names great, so that we, as the seed of Abraham through Jesus Christ [Galatians 3:13-14, 29], can bless the families of the earth. Rather than Satan having the money among the unsaved, God means for the money to be transferred to His Children to be used to bless others, to show the love of Jesus Christ. We are to do the things Christ did and even greater works then He did (John 14:12). It takes money.
Ok, so it takes money. Where am I going to get money? I have my job or my business, but I’m either barely covering my bills, or I’m covering my bills and saving some money, but it never seems to be as much as I’d like. I’m always thinking about money. That’s toil.
Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and He added no sorrow [toil in Hebrew] with it.
Deuteronomy 8:18
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers [Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – the spiritual, earthly fathers of the Believer], as it is this day.
Our Father has given us the power to get wealth, to use His Blessing to bring wealth and riches into our families [Psalm 112:3], without going through corruptible toil and sorrow to get it. BUT, and this is a big BUT, it is to be used for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God on earth. God provides, through His Word, The Blessing to be used by His Children to promote His Kingdom on earth. The wealth He has provided already to you, in the spiritual realm, is appropriated by declaration and obedience to God’s Word. God will give to you bread and seed. The bread is for you to eat and the seed is for you to give away – to use to bless others. I won’t go into it in this email, but it involves the tithe and offerings. Don’t let anyone tell you the tithe passed away with the New Covenant or with the Old Testament or with the Law. You need to study Genesis 14 and Hebrews 7. The tithe started in the Garden, continued with Abraham in Genesis 14 [before the law was given], and continues in Hebrews 7 in this present age.
Ok, this email is long, so I need to wrap it up. The bottom line is God’s will is for you, the Believer, to be healthy and prosperous. Why? So you can fulfill your part of the blood covenant God made with YOU in Genesis 12:1-3: to bless others, the families of the earth.
III John 2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
I’m going to keep driving this home. The Holy Spirit is speaking of material prosperity and physical health in III John 2. But, the Holy Spirit is also telling us this cannot come to pass if our soul [our heart – mind, will, and emotions] doesn’t prosper. Your soul prospers through revelation from the Word of God. You can’t get revelation if you don’t study. How does faith come? By hearing the Word of God [Romans 10:17]. How does it become real to you? By confessing it, meditating on it day and night [Joshua 1:8] until it becomes Truth to you.
In closing, God loves you so much. So much that He gave the most valuable part of His creation up for you. If God is willing to give His Son for you, do you think God has a problem with prosperity for you. Do you think He saved you from eternal hell to have you live in physical hell on earth with disease, sickness, financial struggles, toil, anxiety, fear, etc? Of course not. When you really stop and think about it, how stupid is that kind of thinking? It takes a fool to believe that – and I lived as a fool for 54 years – a Believer, but a fool nonetheless. But, the Truth of God broke through, and He’s called me to fulfill His will for my life. I’m going to battle Satan and his evil, victoriously, for all my remaining days. I don’t care what people think. If the truth I write from the Word of God bothers you, good. It is working. We need to quit living like the world and live like the gods our Father made us [Psalm 82:6]. Otherwise, like Psalm 82:6 says, if we don’t live like we are gods, children of the most high, we’ll live and die just like the unsaved [the world]. And, Jesus stated this again in John 10:34. Listen to what the Father is desperately and lovingly trying to get across to you – THE TRUTH.
Live like Christ – “because as He is, so are you in this world [I John 4:17].” And, “as He is” is what?
Revelation 5:12
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory and blessing.
How can we, in this world, be like Christ is now, seated at the right hand of His Father, our Father, God? Because we are joint heirs with Christ and receive every single thing He has received [Romans 8:17]. If we don’t believe it, then we’ll continue to live a life that is embarrassing to the Father and His Son who gave EVERYTHING that we might have EVERYTHING for His honor and glory.
Walk Mighty in The Blessing of Our Father,
Larry
