Good Morning Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
God’s Word is very clear concerning His love for you. He loves you so much He sowed Himself for you so you could meet His standard of righteousness. What did you have to do for it? Believe it, confess it, and receive it. That’s it. There were no works required, there was no checklist of things you had to do, you didn’t have to confess all of your sins first, you didn’t have to get right first, you didn’t have to pray to some other human, you didn’t have to do anything other than believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He died for your sins (past, present, and future), and He raised from the dead and sits at the right hand of God the Father.
Giving has no expectation of a return. This is not scriptural. Sowing has an expectation of a harvest. This is scriptural. Jesus spoke about it constantly during His earthy ministry. When God sowed Himself in the flesh, He had an expectation of a return – you, me, and all the others that have, are, and will accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. He didn’t just give Himself with no expectation of a return, a harvest. That is vanity.
Colossians 2:6
As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him.
The Holy Spirit is telling us through Paul in Colossians 2:6 that everything you do, after you have received Christ as your Savior, should be done in the same manner as you received Christ – through simple faith. It doesn’t take any more faith to heal yourself or others, to speak and receive prosperity so you can be the Blessing you are commanded to be to others, to cast our demons, or to raise someone from the dead. Yep, I didn’t just step on the toes of religion and denominations – I STOMPED ON THEM PRAISE GOD!! If the Word of God says it, it is established forever and settled. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks, God’s Word is NOT going to change. And those who teach it or preach it wrong come under the double portion of the curse as outlined in Galatians 1:8-9. God is serious about NOT messing with His Word. To mess with God’s Word is to put oneself on the cross in place of the Word, Jesus Christ, and to say God got it wrong.
One of the major tenants and intents of Caleb’s Promise Ministry is to teach long-time and new Believers to study the Word of God as we are commanded in II Timothy 2:15. One would think that 2000 years after the Gospel was given by Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry and by Paul, after Christ, the Church would be all powerful operating mightily in the spiritual laws of God’s Word and abounding in health, finances, relationships, the Word, in sharing of the Gospel, personally, and corporately the Church would be in charge of the seven spheres of influence (Arts and Entertainment, Education, Business, Religion, Government, Media, and Family) as God’s Word commands. Without going into details, we can thank Satan and denominations for suppressing the Church and giving way to spiritual ignorance, which in turn, gives way to Satan and his emissaries ruling the seven spheres, to Believers living well below the best God has for them and powerless through ignorance and rebellion against financial struggles, against relationship struggles, against health issues, against Satan and his minions. So, Caleb’s Promise, like many other like-minded ministries, is founded by God to set His Word straight and to teach His Children how to live and operate victoriously in the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33; Luke 17:21).
II Corinthians 9:8, 10-11
8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
10Now He that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;
11Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
Notice in verse 10 above that God ministers (this means “to give, to afford, to supply) seed to the sower. II Corinthians 8 and 9 are dealing with money. Yep, the four letter word to the religious. “I’m living holy because I don’t desire much, I live frugally, and I’m not allowing myself to be tempted by money.” No, this attitude is selfish, self-centered, hoarding, fearful, pious, goes squarely against the covenant God has with the Believer in Genesis 12:2-3, and is from the pit of hell. God’s will is clearly spelled out for the Believer in III John 2.
III John 2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
The Holy Spirit, through John, is stating God’s will, ABOVE ALL THINGS, is that as the Believer’s soul prospers through studying, believing, confessing, and receiving the promises of Gods Word (II Corinthians 1:20), they are able to prosper financially and be in great health. How can a Believer fulfill the covenant God has with them in Genesis 12:2-3 to be a blessing to others, to the families of the earth if they are not abundant financially and in great health? You can’t be. You tell me, and God, what has more influence over the unsaved and the saved: giving the unsaved a tract and telling them God loves you or paying the hospital bill for another family that is suffering the ravages of cancer and telling them God sent you to do this because He loves them dearly. Whose God will the unsaved want to know? I’m NOT saying giving out tracts is wrong. It is a great thing to do. However, we are commanded to be doers of the Word and not hearers only. In II Corinthians 9:8 we are told to “abound unto every good work.” Abound means an overflow – not just meeting the needs. We are to overflow toward those God tells us to help – saved and unsaved, alike. Paying that hospital bill is overflowing – abounding. We are fulfilling Matthew 5:16 when we do this, Praise God!
Back to II Corinthians 9:10. God is clear He only supplies or gives seed, money, to the sower. The sower sows his/her money into the Gospel. First with the tithe, and then with offerings and alms. When this is done, God WILL supply the sower with more. Notice in verse 10, it says, “He will multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.” Brothers and Sisters, THIS IS A PROMISE. Sow and God will multiply your seed back to you and increase your righteous fruit. Why? Because He loves you dearly, and He wants to help you fulfill your covenant with Him in Genesis 12:2-3. God doesn’t ask us to do anything that He doesn’t provide us with everything to do it. Wow, I like that from the Holy Spirit!
In closing this email, quit trusting in your money, your position, your status, your works, your wisdom. It has failed you over and over. Has God ever failed you? No, not once. You may have failed Him, but He has never failed you. His Word is His Promise, Your Promised Land, to you as His child. Learn to operate according to His Kingdom spiritual laws and enjoy God’s will for you according to III John 2 and fulfill your covenant with God in Genesis 12:2-3. Be that overflowing abundance to the saved and unsaved with your money. Once you tithe, ask God where He would have you sow offerings and alms (for the poor). He will direct you and give you the amount to sow. Don’t hesitate to be willing and obedient to His direction. If you will be, you will eat the good of the land all your days upon this earth (Isaiah 1:19).
In Christ,
Larry
