Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
God has commanded us, His Children, Believers, to be an attraction, a beacon, a city set on a hill, a light in the darkness to the dark world. Today, more than ever, the world is looking for something to soothe their tormented souls. The sad part is they don’t realize their souls are even tormented. But they are not happy, not satisfied deep inside. Sex, alcohol, drugs, money, power, position, possessions, multiple marriages, a name, etc., they turn to seeking for that consolation, that happiness, that fulfillment that only Jesus Christ can bring. If they’re not willing to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they end up living a tormented life and enter eternal damnation upon their death. And, their death is usually one of great fear. Sad, but absolutely a fact.
Believers have inside them exactly what the world is seeking. But, can the world see anything about you that attracts them to our Lord and King, Jesus Christ? The world looks on the outside to see what you have on the inside. And, for us to have on the outside that which will attract the world to Jesus Christ, we must have the Kingdom of God inside us. “What are you saying Larry?” This is what I’m saying, which is exactly what Jesus Christ said and demonstrated during His ministry on the earth: “If you don’t look any different than the world, why would the world want to know your Jesus?” Ouch! I know, this is not easy to swallow. But it is the Truth. God asked me the very same thing, and it has convicted me to do everything in God’s power in me to live a life pleasing to God.
The world has sickness, disease, infirmity, financial struggles, relationship struggles, rottenness, trust issues, lies, wayward children, addictions, depression, fear, anxiety, debt, and on, and on. If we look like the world, why would the world want our Christ? If we have Christ but have continued struggles with any, or all, of the above, the world is going to look at us and say, you’re no different than me. So, what good is your Jesus? This hurts just to write this. My heart aches at the thought my outside, in time past, may have turned persons away from Christ because they didn’t see the manifestation of Christ on my family and me. But that WILL never be the case again. Jesus has called us to a life of persistent, continued, and consistent victory against the enemy, Satan, and the world. If we’re EVER beaten in a situation, it is not because God ordained it. Quite the opposite, God gave to us victory EACH and EVERY time through The Word, Jesus Christ. The Scriptures tell us the world is waiting for the sons of God to manifest themselves.
Romans 8:19
For the earnest expectation of the creature [means “creation”] waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Creation, which includes the unsaved of this world, are waiting for the sons of God, this is Believers, to manifest, or make themselves known to the world. I know what you’re thinking. Larry, this is not true, because the world persecutes Believers, hates anything to do with God and Jesus Christ, can’t stand religion. Well, I agree with them about religion. I can’t stand it either. It is a tool created and used very effectively by Satan to dupe the world and even most Believers. However, it is not the people of the world that persecutes Believers, hates God and Jesus Christ, etc. It is Satan manipulating them. The mission God HAS GIVEN to EVERY Believer is to represent His Kingdom in such a way the world is attracted to it.
The million-dollar question asked by many Believers is “how do we live a life that outwardly attracts the world to Jesus Christ?” The simple answer is to do exactly what Jesus did. We need to ask ourselves the following questions? Was Jesus ever sick? Did Jesus ever struggle financially? Did Jesus have an addiction? Was Jesus ever depressed, anxious, fearful, or oppressed? Was Jesus materially and spiritually rich? Did Jesus ever lose a battle with Satan or with man? Did Jesus have relationship issues? Did Jesus cuss people, belittle them, talk behind their backs? Did Jesus gossip? How often was Jesus in prayer? Did Jesus spend much time in His Father’s Word? Did Jesus confess God’s Word over situations He encountered? If you can’t truthfully answer these questions, you don’t know Jesus, which is the Word. This is our problem. We don’t really know Jesus; therefore, we don’t know who we are as Believers. Listen, if we’re “joint-heirs” with Jesus (Romans 8:17), this means we have, and are, everything Jesus has and is.
Galatians 4:1
Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
The Holy Spirit, through Paul, is instructing us in Galatians 4:1 that we, as Believers, will get our rear ends kicked every time by Satan if we’re not a student of God’s Word (II Timothy 2:15). As a Believer, are we heirs of God? Yes (Romans 8:16-17). Are we joint-heirs with Jesus Christ? Yes (Romans 8:17). Then we are Lords of this earth and have no business losing a battle to Satan. Jesus didn’t, and He is our example. You know why we lose it? Yes, we are like a “child” when it comes to understanding who we are in Christ. We’re not godly mature in the Word, and we get run over constantly by Satan. “But Larry, we can’t do what Jesus did. He is the Son of God. He has special powers. We don’t have His powers.” Yes, He is the Son of God, but He only operated as the Son of man while on this earth. I explained this in previous emails. You have all the power Christ had – and more.
John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
In John 14:12 Jesus said, plainly I might add, if anyone believes on Him, they can do the works Jesus did, and they can do even greater works. Why? Because Jesus comes back in the form of the Holy Spirit to live in a Believer and empower them to do what He did – AND GREATER. You must have religion to help you screw up this VERY PLAIN AND SIMPLE VERSE. You can do what Jesus did – and greater. Why? Because He said so. Shouldn’t that be enough? “But, but….” That’s the problem. Your “buts” are in the way of your “I wills.”
Romans 2:4
Or despisest thou the riches of His goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Rather than fighting Jesus every step of the way over His Word, why aren’t we embracing the “riches of His goodness and forbearance and longsuffering?” Do you even know what this verse is saying? If you haven’t studied it, you truly have no clue. You just guess at what the Holy Spirit is saying through Paul. Is that “studying to show thyself approved unto God, rightly dividing the Word of Truth?” Let’s take a moment to break down this verse:
Despisest = Greek word “kataphroneó” = “I despise, scorn, and show it by active insult, disregard.”
Riches = Greek word “ploutos” = “riches, wealth, abundance, materially or spiritually.”
Goodness = Greek word “chréstotés” = “goodness, excellence, uprightness.”
Forbearance = Greek word “anoché” = “forbearance, suspense or delay (of punishment), patience.”
Longsuffering = Greek word “makrothumia” = “patience, forbearance, long-suffering, slowness in avenging wrongs.”
The following is a paraphrase of what the Old English is saying in Romans 2:4 from the Greek.
“Do you disregard and insult God’s excellence, patience, and slowness in avenging your wrongs, which led you to repentance and acceptance of Christ, and bestowed upon you God’s spiritual and material riches and wealth?
So, to “countryfy” the verse – this means to make it simple for the farmer in the field – “why do you debate God’s Truth and richness to you?” Try a lot less “you” and a lot more “God.”
When the world looks at us, do they simply see a reflection of themselves with a Jesus Christ or God moniker overhead? If they do, they will not want our Jesus. They will reject Him. However, if they see the Jesus of the Scriptures outwardly from us, they will be greatly attracted to us. We’ll never be able to exhibit the Jesus of the Scriptures outwardly until we know Him intimately. What will draw an unsaved family who is drowning in medical bills because of sickness in the family. You knocking on their door and sharing Christ with them and then going away OR you paying off their medical bills and sharing Christ with them? The Scriptures are clear which one we are supposed to do. Which action will have more impact on the family? We, like many of the church, who will share the Word and pray for them OR we like the few Warriors of The Word, who will pay the hospital bill and then share the Word and pray for them? It’s a no brainer.
Mark 16:20
And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the Word with signs following. Amen.
Jesus commanded us, as His disciples, to share or preach the Word everywhere and confirm the Word with signs. “Signs” is paying off bills, buying a car, building a home, paying for college or whatever financial sign God gives you to perform, healing, casting out demons, raising the dead, funding a ministry, teaching a class, leading a ministry, etc. WE ARE NOT JUST TO PREACH AND TEACH THE WORD WITH NO SIGNS. If we do, it is the same as this verse in James.
James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
In closing, I apologize for how forceful and accusatory this may sound. Rest assured God convicted me of this well before I’ve written it to you. We are living in the last days – whether its two years, five years, or twenty years, we are in the stretch. God’s Word says in the last days, He’ll pour out His grace on the world before He pulls the Church out in the Rapture. Our Father is looking for men and women in Christ who are willing to be “Warriors of His Word” and do battle against Satan’s system by operating willingly and obediently in the Kingdom of God.
Next, we’ll address prosperity. Without it, you can’t pay the hospital bill for the family. Where did the “anti-prosperity” message begin. God spoke prosperity to Adam and Eve in Genesis 1:28. And guess what……God never recalled or recanted The Blessing He spoke over them – even after the Fall in the Garden of Eden. God emphasized it to Abraham in Genesis 12:2-3, Deuteronomy 28:1-14. Jesus continued emphasizing during His ministry on earth. Don’t be suckered in with the “Jesus was poor” messages and doctrine. That’s a lie from the pit of hell designed to keep the Children of God poor or middling while the evil men and women of the world enjoy the riches that belong to God and are meant for us (Proverbs 13:22). If Believers have the wealth of the world, then we have the control. If we have the control, we write the laws, we decide what is shown on television, taught in schools, spoken in businesses, allowed in government, who leads the countries, etc. The church allowed the anti-prosperity message to infiltrate it from Satan and here we are in the backseat while Satan drives the car. This IS NOT God’s will nor His plan. But God has a growing army of Warriors of His Word who are taking back the territory the church, religion, conceded to Satan. We’re following Christ’s example, and we are victorious from one battle to the next. We can’t be beaten. Join us.
Much love in Christ,
Larry
