Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
This is the last in a series of three messages on The Kingdom of God. In the previous two messages, we defined “what” The Kingdom of God is, “where” The Kingdom of God is located, “when” The Kingdom of God was created, and “why” The Kingdom is so important to us. This message will define at a high level “how” we operate in The Kingdom of God.
When God created Adam and Eve on the sixth day, the first Words He spoke to them are found in Genesis 1:28. You will notice The Scriptures will seem in conflict about the creation of Eve. In Genesis 1:28, it says, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them……” However, Eve wasn’t created until Genesis chapter 2. It is a simple explanation. God spoke to Adam who contained Eve. God made Eve from the rib of Adam. What God spoke to Adam was in His DNA, in his Spirit (Genesis 2:7). Had God created Eve the same way He did Adam, from the dirt, as a separate being, He would have had to “breathe the breath of life” into her and speak The Blessing over Eve separately. You can read about the creation of Even in Genesis 2:21-23.
Just as an aside, this same situation occurs with Abraham and Levi concerning the tithe in Hebrews 7:9-10. Paul writes that when Abraham paid Melchizedek the tithe in Genesis 14, Levi also paid the tithe because the seed of Levi was in Abraham’s loins. For those that try and erroneously argue the tithe went away with the fulfillment of the law, The Holy Spirit, through Paul, is telling us the tithe has always existed and was brought to God before the Levitical law, and it will continue for eternity through the order of Melchizedek, being received by Jesus Christ. You can bring the tithe to its rightful Owner, God, and have all your money blessed, or you can keep it and the devourer, satan, will take it and more.
As taught before, when God placed Adam and Eve in The Garden of Eden, He established three things: God fellowshipped with them; God gave them an assignment [dress the garden and keep it], and God gave them provision. This hasn’t changed since the beginning of time. It is still this way today. God wants intimate, personal fellowship with us, He will give each of us an assignment(s), and He will provide whatever is required for the assignment – AND MORE.
The Blessing of Genesis 1:28 is still on Believers to this day. God never removed The Blessing, even when Adam and Eve fell. However, because “faith” was no longer natural to the fallen man, God had to reconnect man to The Blessing through faith. Before the fall, Adam and Eve operated with faith as a sixth sense. It was natural to them to speak and expect without any doubt or unbelief. The fall introduced fear, which brings doubt and unbelief with it. Now, in man, because of the fall, there is the battle between faith and fear.
Examining The Blessing, we can see God HAS ALREADY given us everything we could possibly need to “always triumph in Christ (II Corinthians 2:14).”
Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
The word “blessed” in Hebrew has several meanings which are summed up to mean “empowered to prosper.” “Empowered” means a Believer has the authority and power to prosper if they believe, confess, and receive.
“Be fruitful” = Hebrew word “parah” which means, “bear fruit, be fruitful, grow, increase.”
“and multiply” = Hebrew word “rabah” which means, “to be or become much, many or great, grow, increase, abundance.”
“and replenish” = Hebrew word “mala” which means, “to be full or filled.”
“and subdue it” = Hebrew word “kabash” which means, “to subdue, dominate, to bring into bondage, forced into bondage, subjugate, tread under our foot.”
“and have dominion” = Hebrew word “radah” which means “to have dominion, rule, dominate, prevail against, reign, take.”
The Kingdom of God is composed of Spiritual Laws and Moral and Ethical Commandments. We’re only going to address the Spiritual Laws in this message. God’s Spiritual Laws are the foundation, or the infrastructure, of the government of God’s Kingdom. Everything in The Kingdom has the Spiritual Laws as its underpinnings.
Even satan must abide by the Spiritual Laws of The Kingdom of God. He knows them and uses them to tempt and trap Believers. An example is the Spiritual Law of Sowing and Reaping. God means it to be a blessing while satan wants you to use it to curse yourself. For instance, what “words” are you speaking? You will be justified or condemned by your words (Matthew 12:37). God’s Spiritual laws work without variance or regard for any cause or reason. They are silent, consistent, and unstoppable.
The Spiritual realm governs the natural or physical realm. The Spiritual and natural realms have laws put into place by Jesus Christ according to Colossians 1:15-17. These laws are immutable [unable to be changed]. In the Spiritual realm, such laws as the Law of the Seed, the Law of Sowing and Reaping, the Law of Confession, the Law of Separation, the Law of Agreement, the Law of Binding and Loosing, The Law of Alignment, The Law of Forgiveness, The Law of Faith, etc., are just as real as anything you can see in the physical realm. If anyone violates God’s Spiritual Laws, which are referred to as “rulers” or “ordinances,” the penalties associated with such violations inevitably produces a ‘sword,” ‘a consequence.” God’s Kingdom is therefore unshakeable, unchangeable, consistent, and subject only to Him. Only by a miracle can God intervene and set aside the physical laws and by His Own power and purpose perform the impossible. An example is Abram and Sarai. Because they would not believe and wait in patience on the Lord God, they attempted to create Abraham’s seed through Hagar, the handmaiden of Sarai. From Ishmael, we have the 12 tribes of what are known today as Arabs. Because of Abram and Sarai’s impatience and lack of trust in God, we have the Israeli-Arab conflict of today, the sword or the consequence. God had to intervene physically and change their names to Abraham and Sarah, “father of many nations” and “mother of princes,” respectively, to bring Isaac into the earth. One year after changing their names, Sarah gave birth to Isaac. Prior to this, they had waited 25 years.
Jesus redeemed us from the “curse” of the law that ends in spiritual death. But He DID NOT deliver anyone or anything from His Spiritual Laws of The Kingdom of God.
Three Primary Spiritual Laws – there are three foundational Spiritual Laws from which all other laws derive. These three Spiritual Laws work together to bless the Believer as long as the Believer is using the laws correctly. We are instructed in God’s Word how to use these laws.
1. The Law of the Seed – a neutral law stating all things must produce after its kind (Genesis 1:11). EVERY SINGLE SEED PRODUCES – WHETHER SEEDS OF GOOD OR SEEDS OF EVIL. Sow discord, discontent, strife, and accusation, and you will receive the same back as your fruit. When Adam fell, every seed of man produced a corruptible being. This is the Law of the Seed producing after its own kind. It also works the same when we accept Jesus Christ, the Seed! We are reborn as an incorruptible man after the Seed, Jesus Christ. Again, the Seed has produced after its own kind.
Genesis 1:11
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
2. The Law of Sowing and Reaping – a neutral law producing after the seed sown. Sow life and blessing, reap life and blessing. Sow death and curse, reap death and curse.
Galatians 6:6-7
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Matthew 12:37
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
3. The Law of Manifold Returns – a law stating the seed will always bear more abundance than itself. A single seed produces many seeds. And it is a neutral law producing an abundance after the seed sown. Sow a good seed, reap an abundance of good. Sow a bad seed, reap an abundance of bad.
Genesis 8:12
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
II Corinthians 9:10
Now He [God] that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
There are many other Spiritual Laws, but I have given you the three primary ones from which all others are founded. It is up to you to study God’s Word and learn the others. Remember, a Spiritual Law works regardless of whether a Believer is blessing or cursing themselves. This is why God’s Word begs us to carefully consider our words, what we feed our hearts and minds, and what we think. He does this to protect us and to connect us to the grandeur of His Blessings.
Our enemy, satan, prefers a kingdom without laws, structure, or design because he wants people to do what is right in their own eyes without consequence. He hates man and wants to destroy man’s identity because man is made in the image of God. Why do you think we have all the identity crises today with genders? God made it clear there are only two in Genesis 1:27.
The falsehood of satan’s deception is the Spiritual laws work regardless of what you think and whether you are saved or unsaved. The unsaved person cannot experience the life and blessing of a Spiritual Law, but they can experience death and curse and the sword or consequence. The saved person can experience both the blessing and the curse of a Spiritual Law. The Spiritual Laws work regardless.
Keep in mind God’s Word says we didn’t start ourselves in Christ, and we cannot finish ourselves in Christ. Only Jesus can accomplish this in us. We must submit ourselves to Jesus’ leading, follow him, keep His Word in our hearts, and let Him do the work in us.
Apart from Jesus, we can never succeed. Every success comes through His hand. We are His, and He is ours. Jesus taught us about The Kingdom of God and gave us plenty of examples to follow. We have unlimited authority and power, through Jesus Christ, in The Kingdom of God.
In Christ,
Larry
