Good Morning Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
This morning, I celebrate the life and homegoing of a wonderful young man who touched so many people in so many places. Most importantly, he is a Child of Almighty God, Jonathan, “Jonny” Bizilia. Jonny is the 27-year-old son of one of two of my dearest and best friends from my youth in Alabama, Kevan Bizilia. I’m so proud to say both of my dear friends are Believers.
Kevan and Linda, Kevan’s precious wife, raised a household of seven children, all Believers. What a wonderful testimony to have before Jesus at the Bema Seat. Jonny is a very accomplished skydiver and wingsuit enthusiast who passed away in the mountains of Utah doing what he so enjoyed. He also dearly loved his Lord and King Jesus Christ.
The Lord wanted me to write this morning to Kevan and Linda, and to their six children and families, Jonny is having an incredible time in Heaven. His personality has not changed, and he is still the same very inquisitive and adventurous young man. Jonny is having a blast exploring Heaven and the landscape, sitting with Jesus and talking, listening to Paul teach, eating the food, meeting with others, family and friends alike, that have already gone home to Heaven, and inquiring of Abraham, Joseph, David, Samson, and so many others he’s read and heard about in The Word. Jonny’s same excitement and enthusiasm during his time on earth is also with him in Heaven. And Jesus loves it!!
Jonny will be sorely missed on earth, but we all praise and thank our Father God and our King Jesus Christ, that this life is temporary, but a vapor in the breeze, and Kevan, Linda, and their family will be joined with Jonny and all other Believers for all eternity. Dianne and I love you Kevan and Linda, and we put our Spiritual arms around you, and your family, in celebration of the wonderful and blessed son you raised in Jonny. I shout and praise God that Jonny is with Him and enjoying love, joy, peace, and pleasures beyond anything we can even began to think or imagine.
Father, I thank You so much that You give us a peace that passes all understanding, even in times where our heart sorrows at the loss of someone that means so much to us. Father, I thank You, however, that we have a hope, a certainty, a guarantee, the world doesn’t have, that life doesn’t stop for Believers. It continues in a much more wonderful and amazing form in Your Heavenly Presence. Father, thank You that our physical separation is very temporary. Help us to meditate on Jonny’s Heavenly joy rather than our earthly sorrow. Help us to laugh, shout, praise, dance, and thank You Lord just as Jonny is doing now. Help us to enjoy everything, every day, given to us by You, to its fullest. And help us to live to Your fullest in this earth as a testimony to all we come across of Your love for Your children. In Jesus’ precious and awesome name, we pray. Amen.
Blessings in Jesus Christ,
Larry
