Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Psalm 118:24 gives us a message to start our day, every day.
Psalm 118:24
24 This is the day which The LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Save now, I beseech Thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech Thee, send now prosperity [make prosperous materially and physically, send success]
Each day we awake from sleep to a new day, it is a day The Lord has made and given to us as Believers. It is yet another day in eternity. And each day is filled with promises of God’s abundance which we, as Believers, can have if we believe, decree, and receive. This is why we can “rejoice and be glad in it.”
One such promise from our Father is the day itself and all within this day are good and perfect gifts.
James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from The Father of lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Our Father God ONLY gives us good and perfect gifts – ONLY. Don’t let someone convince you God gives sickness, disease, poverty, financial struggles, accidents, loss, etc. to either punish a Believer or to teach a Believer a lesson. All of these things are of the curse outlined in Deuteronomy 28:15-68. Is anything of the curse a good gift and a perfect gift? Of course not. Everything in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 is a good gift and a perfect gift. If God gave anything other than good and perfect gifts, He would be variable or would turn from one state of mind to another – from blessing to cursing. James 1:17, alone, makes it perfectly clear God cannot and will not do this as does Hebrews 13:8 and Malachi 3:6. God NEVER changes.
God’s Word tells us He daily provides benefits to us, Spiritual, physical, and material.
Psalm 68:19
Blessed be The Lord, Who daily loadeth us with benefits, even The God of our salvation. Selah.
God takes our natural, carnal burden and yoke upon Himself each day and provides us His benefits. But we have to give our natural, carnal burden and yoke to Him, and we have to take His benefits – by faith.
Jesus told us the same thing in Matthew 11:28-30
Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
The key is when we learn of Christ and all He purchased for us through salvation, your soul (mind, will, emotions) will cease from its own labors and enter into His rest (Hebrews 4:10-11). We realize His salvation purchased amazing benefits for us which we are to experience every single day provided we decree and receive them in faith.
When you start your day in prayer and in the reading of God’s Word (I hope you do), you equip yourself for the day. Most importantly, you decree your expectations, in faith, for the day according to God’s Word.
Job 22:28
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
Decree is to “give an order.” Having spent my first career in the US Air Force for just over 20 years, one thing drilled into you from the start is an order is an imperative that will be carried out. Whomever decreed the order expects the order to be carried out and accomplished according to their directives. Failure to do so is a breach and punishable even up to death. God is saying the same thing in His blood covenant with us through Jesus Christ. If we decree God’s Word in faith through The Name of Jesus Christ, God, our Father, through The Holy Spirit must carry out the order. Oh Larry, I could never command God!! Then don’t and miss out. His Word, not mine. But don’t sit there and blame God when you have lack in your life Spiritually, physically, or materially. If you have any understanding and maturity in God’s Word, you understand it is a reverential command. Not an irreverent demand.
Isaiah 45:11
Thus saith The LORD, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons, and concerning the work of My hands command ye Me.
Isaiah 43:26
Put Me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
We’ve learned in previous messages Christ purchased everything for us though redemption. There is nothing we need or we desire, according to God’s will, that is not available to us right now. We appropriate it through the decreed Word of God in faith.
Start your day out right with God by putting Him in remembrance of His covenant with you through Jesus Christ. He hasn’t forgotten it, but He wants you to activate it through His Word decreed by faith. God tells us when we decree God’s Word, He seconds it. God wants us justified. What does this mean? We are to be just as Jesus is – I John 4:17.
I John 4:17
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He [Jesus] is, so are we in this world.
How is Jesus right now?
Revelation 5:12
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is The Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
So, too, are you. You have a choice to make. You can either believe God’s Word or you can live in the traditions of the church, the traditions of men, the rudiments of the world, (Colossian 2:8) and not after Christ. Yes, you will occasionally experience miracles, but this is not God’s best for you. His best for you is to operate just as Jesus did while on this earth in His ministry (John 14:12). What Jesus did wasn’t miracles to Him. They were miracles to the people around Him. Jesus was simply operating in faith in The Kingdom of God. You can do the same and not have to depend on miracles. And Jesus consistently received what He decreed. I know this may step on the toes of some because what I just wrote puts the responsibility back on you, not God. God has already done everything for you through Jesus. You now have to appropriate it through a decreed Word in faith. I pray you’ll receive this revelation through The Holy Spirit.
In Christ,
Larry
