Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
I rarely listen to the news. I only need to listen to about 10 minutes of news a day to get any thing of value and then it is the same old wash, rinse, and repeat of the sky is falling, the earth is dying, and man is the supreme arbiter of all things in the universe. Many call me foolish, uneducated, uninformed, behind the times, a fanatic, etc. Thankfully, through study and the maturing of my faith by the Holy Spirit, I’ve come to realize it is not the people but Satan and his forces that are accusing me of being these things. My desire now is to pray for the people’s release from spiritual bondage and to condemn Satan and his acts of the curse.
The Coronavirus is dominating EVERYTHING today. Satan is having his way with people. He is achieving exactly what he wants – terror, oppression, and fear. For the unsaved person, the non-Believer, this is understandable. I Corinthians 2:14 makes it clear the natural man (unsaved person) cannot understand the things of God nor can they discern them because they don’t have the Spirit of Christ living in them. So, when they are panicked, terrorized, oppressed, and fearful, that’s completely understandable. On the other hand, NO Believer should be in the state of mind of the unsaved. But, sadly, this is not the case. I personally hear and see Believers acting like the world. This brings to mind the following verse from James:
James 1:22-25
22But be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23For if any be a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
James is saying there are many Believers who look into the Word of God (look into the glass or mirror), see who they are in Christ – the power and authority they have, and as soon as they are hit by some pressure(s) of the natural world, the physical realm, they forget what God’s Word says about them and fall into fear, oppression, terror, stress – just like the world. They’ve forgotten who they are in Christ. This should not be so. But, the man who is not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the Word, THIS MAN SHALL BE BLESSED IN HIS DEED.
During this Coronavirus is a great time to be a witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No, not just getting saved and having eternal life, but also the healing, the prosperity, the deliverance, and the protection a Believer has through the Word of God, Jesus Christ. The virus is all everyone is talking about and reacting to, sadly. I sent an email on 2/26/2020 entitled, “Fear Not the Coronavirus.” There are several verses, not an exhaustive list, that state God’s promises to the Believer that they cannot be affected, made sick, terrorized, oppressed, or made fearful of the Coronavirus, Ebola, SARS, MIRS, or any other exotic disease – IF THEY BELIEVE GOD’S WORD. If you fall into fear, you have compromised faith, and you are not protected. You have opened yourself up to the effects of the curse. Let’s choose to believe God’s Word.
In closing, would a loving Father leave us helpless against Satan and the curse? No, of course not. You wouldn’t do this to your children, so why would God, who is Love, do it to His Children? He wouldn’t, and He doesn’t. He gives you the power to win all the time through His Word.
Hebrews 1:3
Who [Christ] being the brightness of His [God’s] glory, and the express image of His [God’s] person, and upholding all things by the Word of His [God’s] power, when He [Christ] had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
The power of the Godhead resides in the Spirit inside you. How is the power used? By decreeing the Word of His power over all things in and under this earth. Use the power by decreeing His Word. Don’t allow Satan to condemn, deceive, or tempt you by stealing or compromising the Word of God from your heart. Stand on it in complete faith and see the power of God work all around you for your good, for your promotion, and for your protection. He loves you dearly and wants you to live in complete certainty and fulfillment of His promises.
