Good Morning All,
One question I hear and receive frequently is “how do I increase my faith?” I, too, four years ago and before wondered the same thing. How do I have the faith of Abraham, Moses, David, Ruth, Esther, Peter, John, Paul, etc? How do I overcome and accomplish great things for Jesus Christ? How do I have consistent victory in my earthly life? Every single Believer ponders and ask the same things. Some Believers ask it all their earthly lives and then receive the revelation when standing before Christ, and other Believers learn it on this earth and accomplish great things for Christ and receive the “Well done my faithful one” when in His presence.
There are many verses that address this topic, but one in particular communicates it so well.
Philemon 1:6
That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
Going to the Webster’s 1828 Dictionary online:
Communication – the act of imparting, conferring, or delivering, from one to another.
Effectual – producing an effect, or the effect desired or intended; or having adequate power or force to produce the effect.
Acknowledging – owning; confessing; approving; grateful
In this verse, the Holy Spirit is communicating through Paul that your faith (Christ’ faith in you) increases and produces the desired effect by you, the Believer, gratefully confessing every good thing in you which is in you through Jesus Christ.
If you want your faith to increase, start each day the way Psalms 100:4 prescribes:
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.
When we enter into His gates and courts, through prayer, we should always start by thanking and praising Him for all the wonderful things His Word says He has done for us, and many of those things which you have already experienced. Father, I praise Your Holy Name and Word which declares I am Your Son, I am blessed, I am healed, I am delivered, I am prospered, everything I set my hand unto shall prosper, I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, a lender and not a borrower, no weapon formed against me by Satan, by man, or by anything can prosper against me. I thank you Father that I am approved by You and because of this all men, whether they like me or not, shall give me understanding and favor. Father, I thank You that You give me the inheritance of the heathen and the earth for my possession. I thank You Father You have made me a joint-heir with my Savior, King, Redeemer, and Elder Brother, Jesus Christ. I thank You Father that I receive power, wisdom, riches, strength, honor, glory, and blessing – that which is given to my King, Jesus Christ. I thank You Father You have made me a blessing to others because You have taught me through Your Word to receive the Blessing from you and that You make my name great. Father, I thank You I have the understanding given me by You to pray for great, bold, and unworldly things. Father, I thank You through Your Word You are lifting the blinders from my spiritual heart, eyes, and ears and my soul is lining up with Your Spirit in me. Father, You know no bounds, You have all power, You are not limited by the world or the mind and wisdom of men. Father, Your mind is in me and I know all things and I know things to come. I praise You Father that I receive cities I did not build, homes I did not build, crops I did not plant, livestock I did not raise, vineyards I did not plant, favor I did not earn, blessings I deserve. Father, I thank You I now know my worth to You, and I will no longer think of myself as unworthy, undeserving, nor as an “ole sinner saved by grace.” Father, I’m more valuable than all the gold and silver and gemstones in this world. You have made me to reign, to proclaim the justice and mercy and grace of my Father, the Almighty God, and to mete out Your justice in this world. You purchased me with the sacrifice, blood, suffering, humiliation, and rejection of Your precious Son, my King and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I am Your Son. Everywhere my foot treads is mine, every situation is my victory, no evil can befall me, no man can prosper against me, everywhere I am is blessed through Jesus Christ my Lord and King. Thank You Father I am and I will do great things for Your Kingdom through Your leading, through Your power and Your mind in me, that I will heal, cast out demons, raise the dead, proclaim the Word, give great tithes and offerings, and defeat Satan’s wiles through Jesus Christ. Father, I seal my mind and my thoughts by the blood of Jesus Christ against the attacks of Satan and the evil of the curse. I thank You Father that while I may fall, for I am not yet fully redeemed in my soul and flesh, yet will I rise every time by Your Hand because You promised You would never leave me, nor forsake me, nor fail me. I thank You Father all my seed are mighty upon this earth – my children, children-in-law, grandchildren, and generations to come. I thank you Father all of them shall come to know you as their Savior, their Redeemer, and King. This is Your promise to me. And, Father, I know You are not slack concerning Your promises as men count slackness. You cannot lie, You will not break Your covenant, nor alter the things that is gone out of Your lips. Father, I bless You with all Your love, and I bless You by being Your obedient Son. In Jesus’ Name I pray these things. Amen.
Folks, if we start our day with thanksgiving and praise, our problems, challenges, our begging fades away. You begin to realize and believe the Promises God has made to you. Remember, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. When you pray this way, you are praying the Word of God and your soul hears this. Seeds are planted and nourished in your heart until they manifest in faith. Remember also, as Believers, we are to “walk by faith and not by sight.” Don’t believe what you see and hear in the physical world. Believe what God’s Word decrees and see it come to pass the lives of your family and you. It won’t make sense to most Believers (this is why their lives are no different than the worlds) and it won’t make sense to you many times. Remember, if it makes sense, it’s not faith.
Love to all of you. I pray you receive the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus Christ through His Word.
