Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Mark 9:23 offers us the simplest but the sagest of instruction, understanding, knowledge, and wisdom from our Lord and King, Jesus Christ.
Mark 9:23
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
When you read and meditate upon this verse, you will see it is so simple. I like to ask, “how many things are possible according to Jesus?” Yes, ALL THINGS. The only qualifier or caveat is “can you believe?” There IS NOTHING ELSE. I can’t tell you how many times in my teaching of this the past ten years in business groups, in men’s groups, in Sunday School, in Church, in Bible Studies, and in one-on-ones that I get the, “But Larry…..” Can I politely and lovingly tell you your “but” is your problem to Mark 9:23. There are NO “buts” in Mark 9:23. There is only, “If you can believe…..” God had to correct me of this eight years ago. His Word to me was “Your buts are getting in the way of My cans.” Remember, God is not going to overrule us when we speak negatively. As Matthew 12:37 says, “By our words we are justified, and by our words we are condemned.” Our words.
I just returned from a family vacation and then additional time after the family vacation where Dianne and I sought the Lord’s wisdom and direction in our ministry, our family, our personal walk, and our businesses. Prior to heading out on vacation and the personal time, the Lord spoke this to me, as I shared in an earlier message, “I am The God of the impossible and My mercy endures forever.” I personalized it by saying, “My Father is The God of the impossible and His mercy endures forever.” I’ve said this over and over and over and meditated on it. I know there is a reason He spoke this to me. It means there are things coming which will require Dianne and me to go to another level of faith. Praise God, it is exciting!! By speaking it over and over and meditating it, the use of God’s measure of faith in me is being empowered. We all receive the same measure of God’s faith (Romans 12:3).
We received a lot of direction from The Lord in all areas of our lives. The primary two general things The Lord spoke to me were:
- Drive the sword of God into the heart of religion.
- Focus on The Kingdom of God.
Religion is the ultimate tool of satan. God gave me three verses when expounding on driving the sword of God into the heart of religion.
Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:5
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Colossians 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
God gave me four verses when expounding on focusing on The Kingdom of God:
Matthew 16:19
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Mark 3:27
No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
I Corinthians 4:20
For The Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
Deuteronomy 8:18
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
I’ve been, and am, meditating on these verses. I knew all of them already, but The Lord has given them to me to meditate for greater and deeper revelation. I’ve learned when I’m given a verse that I may have known and studied many times, not to dismiss it because of what it says in Deuteronomy 29:29:
Deuteronomy 29:29
The secret things belong unto The LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
I’m looking to God to “reveal” the hidden mysteries in His Word. Never, ever, think because you’ve studied and studied and dissected a verse that you have learned all the hidden mystery and secret things of that verse. I’m convinced we’ll be learning something new about our Father for all eternity. When our Father is the definition of infinity and eternity this implies there are no bounds. And He is The Word.
As God reveals things to me concerning the above verses, I will share them with you for our edification. I’m excited to drive religion into the abyss and to operating fully and completely in The Kingdom of God to bring God’s Kingdom to this earth and His will done on earth as in Heaven.
