Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
As you can see by the title of this email, I’m a trust fund child. A trust fund is an independent legal entity that holds assets for the benefit of trust beneficiaries. Trusts are often used as an estate planning tool to control and distribute assets. These assets can include:
Bank accounts
Retirement accounts
Personal property
Real property
Life insurance and annuity proceeds
Many of the rich and famous children are inheritors of a trust fund from their parents or their grandparents. In some cases, it may go back to the great or great-great grandparents. Some trust funds are so large, the children never have to labor or toil a single day in their life. You’re probably saying, “it must be nice.” Let me tell you as a trust fund child, IT’S GREAT! I’m chuckling right now. There are two individuals on this email that I grew up with: Dan and Kevan. Both of them know that I’m not a trust fund child, in the earthly sense, by any means. There was no “silver spoon” in my family. Everything came by labor and toil.
So, if I’m not a trust fund child in the earthly sense, how am I a trust fund child? You’ve probably figured it out by now. I am a son of The Almighty God and brother to my King Jesus Christ. When I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord, King, and Savior, I became a trust fund child. You did too. How do we know this? There are many verses, but one in particular bears this out.
John 16:15
All things that The Father hath are Mine [Jesus]: therefore said I, that He [Holy Spirit] shall take of Mine, and shall shew it unto you.
As we can see, Jesus is letting us know that we, as joint-heirs with Jesus (Romans 8:17), receive everything that Jesus received, and Jesus has received “everything that belongs unto God.”
Now, religion would say at this point, “yes, a trust fund awaiting when you get to Heaven. A trust fund here will corrupt you.” Typical answer from satan, the deceiver and a liar with every single thought he sends and word he speaks. I’ve been in churches and congregations where if you mention “prosperity,” they will almost stone you and certainly will cast you out or talk badly about you all the time.
Ten years ago, when God called me to the ministry of teaching God’s inerrant Word, and I became a true student, “studying to show myself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Truth,” I could see over and over and over again, God’s magnanimous love. Hundreds and hundreds of verses speaking to God blessing a Believer with prosperity, healing, protection, and deliverance (the fruits of righteousness) in this earth – not in Heaven. I also found hundreds of verses speaking to a Believer ruling, reigning, having dominion, having kingship, and subduing and bringing into alignment the earth with The Kingdom of God through decreeing The Word of God in faith. The more I studied, the more I saw God has given Believers, His children, EVERY SINGLE THING THEY COULD EVER NEED OR WANT IN THIS EARTH. Six years ago, during my prayer time, God drove home the lesson of prosperity with the story Jesus told of Lazarus the beggar. Lazarus was a child of God, a seed of Abraham, with all the promises of God, yet he was a pathetic beggar. The Holy Spirit plainly taught me Lazarus had no business being a beggar and “desiring the crumbs from the rich man’s table.” The Holy Spirit said while God loved Lazarus, He was offended by Lazarus’ thinking, believing, and speaking. Lazarus should have been living as Abraham did. How did Abraham live? Let’s see what Abraham’s servant told another man about Abraham.
Genesis 24:35
And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and He [God] hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.
Hhhhmmmm. Would you say Abraham was prosperous? Lazarus was the seed of Abraham, yet he lived at the level of religion. To continue with the teaching of The Holy Spirit to me, I asked The Holy Spirit why Believers fight so hard against prosperity when it is PLAINLY evident by The Word of God that God’s will, God’s desire, is for His children to be prosperous in health and prosperous in finances and material possessions in this earth? The Holy Spirit answered, “satan has deceived them just as he deceived Eve. Just as Paul said, ‘a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump (Galatians 5:9),’ so, too, has satan planted leaven among Believers. I have called you, among many, to rise up against this deception and to teach and preach the inerrant Word of God and to live it in front of all.” So, while I teach the whole Word of God, I have been called with a specific focus on prosperity. It is the gift of God through salvation.
I will agree with religion about one thing concerning prosperity among Believers. Some have misappropriated it and used it for their own lust. And satan has used this to have some Believers wrongly form a doctrine that prosperity is evil. The bulk of this wrong doctrine is based on I Timothy 6:10.
I Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
If one studies God’s Word, they learn this verse is mis-translated. In the Greek, Hebrew, and the Amplified Classic, it is translated as follows:
“For the love of money is a root of many kinds of evil” or “For the love of money is a root of all evils.” The key is “a” root, not “the” root. There is a significant difference between a definite and indefinite article. And look what God says at the start of the verse: “For the LOVE of money….” If any Believer LOVES anything more than God and His Son Jesus Christ, the thing they love more is an idol to them. Whether it is money, sex, sports, power, status, education, things, etc., it is the god or idol for this person. And God has made it clear if money becomes your idol, and you are a Believer, you will err from the faith and you will suffer the consequences of money being your god. Not the joy and continued prosperity God has created IF we handle money the way God intended it. There is nothing wrong with money, but there may be something wrong with your heart. God goes on to give the antidote to money becoming a Believer’s god in I Timothy 6:17.
I Timothy 6:17
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in The Living God, Who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
I think this verse almost singlehandedly puts the wrong doctrine built around I Timothy 6:10 to error. Simply put, this verse is saying never trust money because it will let you down, drive you into sin, and laden you with the consequences that will steal your health, your joy, your peace, your possessions, your family, and on and on. Money without God is a death sentence in this life, and for some, in the life to come. Notice the last part of I Timothy 6:17, “Who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.” Does money, does prosperity qualify as “all things?” Of course it does. Notice God gives to us “richly to enjoy.” Do you know what part of the “enjoyment” is about being blessed with physical, material, and financial prosperity? You are able to obey God and be a wonderful blessing to others. Folks, this is what it is all about in this earth. God is our Source, and we joyfully, gleefully bless others.
Genesis 12:2-3
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
God wants to bless us so we can be a blessing to others. Yes, it doesn’t mean just a financial blessing. But the financial blessing is a major part of The Blessing. Why? Because it takes money to get things done in this earth. If we want to fund the building of a church and its buildings, it takes money. If we want to fund missions, it takes money. If we want to help the poor, it takes money. If we need to help a financially struggling Brother or Sister in Christ, it takes money. If we want to build a church and school in a mission field, it takes money. If God tells you to pay off someone’s home or to buy someone a car, it takes money. If God tells you to pay off or contribute toward the paying off of someone’s hospital bill, it takes money. And let me help the religious with this thought. God is not a counterfeiter. He is not going to have an angel drop money off at your house from a printing press in Heaven. God works through men and women to supply the above needs I mentioned. Is God able to work through you? Are you able to give at the level God wants you to give? Most Believers are not able to answer this question with a “yes.” After years as a Believer, God should be able to use us to give any amount He commands, and we shouldn’t blink an eye. But, as The Holy Spirit revealed to me, there are few Believers that can do this when there should be millions.
In next week’s email, I will present verses from God’s Word showing God’s will is for His children to be so prosperous, He can easily call on us to meet any size of need inside and outside the Body of Christ. Why should satan’s children have the wealth and riches of the world when it belongs to God and, therefore, to us? I’ve written before that satan is a squatter. He has, through deception, planted leaven among the church. And rather than doing what Adam and Eve should have done, turn to God for counsel, members of the church have taken the deception as gospel and run blindly with it. And here we are with satan and his forces ruling the seven spheres of influence in this earth which God meant for us as the church to rule. We abdicated The Word and our authority, given by The Word, and withdrew into our four walls. However, God has raised up an elect among the elect who are not deceived and is sending them across the earth preaching and teaching the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and of The Kingdom of God. We will refuse to be in bondage to wrong thinking, believing, and speaking any longer!! In Jesus Name! Amen!
Your inheritance comes in proportion to your identity in Christ.
Grace and peace in Jesus Christ,
Larry
