Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
We continue this week with “I’m a Trust Fund Child Part Two.” We ended last week with a challenge to think to ourselves, to meditate, “why would God want the wealth of this world in the hands of satan and his followers?” What will satan and his followers do with the wealth of the world? Just look and listen around you. Twenty-to-thirty years ago, if you asked me would we be experiencing the onslaught of evil that we are experiencing in the United States, right now, I would have said, “no way!” This would be my head speaking. My heart knew, and knows, from The Holy Scriptures, this time was coming. And it is not as bad yet as it will become.
We know from several verses in The Holy Scriptures that satan and his followers possessing the wealth of the world is NOT God’s will. We can use just one verse from God’s Word to put down this current reality.
Matthew 6:10
Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven.
Jesus, God Himself in the flesh, spoke these very Words in teaching His disciples how to pray. “Thy Kingdom come….” This is The Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is a government headed by The King Himself, Jesus Christ. The Kingdom of God has Spiritual laws which must be obeyed to work. The currency of The Kingdom of God is not money. It is faith. This is why Hebrews 11:6 tells us, “it is impossible to please God without faith…….” You cannot operate in The Kingdom of God without faith.
“Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven.” This verse is very clear as to what God’s will is IN THIS EARTH. His will is to be done in this earth just as it is in Heaven. Do we understand that the entirety of Heaven, its makeup, its architecture, its laws, its colors, its shapes, its wealthiness, its richness, its opulence, its comforts, its peace, etc. are to be replicated on this earth? By whom? YOU AND ME! God has to do it through you and me. He cannot do it Himself. He doesn’t have legal authority to do so through His Word. Adam and Eve originally had this commandment in the Garden of Eden with The Blessing of Genesis 1:28. Jesus, Himself, restored it through the blood covenant between God and Himself (representing man in the flesh). This is our new covenant.
We, the Believers, are commanded by God to be fruitful and multiply, to replenish [to fill up] the earth, to subdue it [to bring it into subjection, to subjugate] , and to have dominion over every living thing (flesh and spirit) in the earth. We are to “fill up” the earth with The Kingdom of God and to use the Spiritual laws of The Kingdom “to bring into subjection and subjugate” anything not of God. This includes satan and his principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). This also includes the wealth of this world. It belongs to God, not to satan. Therefore, it belongs to the Believers, The Body of Christ in this earth. But remember, God MUST work through faithful men and women to get things done in this earth. This is God’s Spiritual law.
So, what makes you and me “Trust Fund” children? God’s Word, His will. We are to “trust” in God’s Word and decree and act upon it in faith, and God “funds” us, His “children,” to do His will in this earth. Let’s look at “God’s will” for His children concerning prosperity in this earth.
Exhibit A.
Psalm 35:27
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let The LORD be magnified, Which hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.
The word “prosperity” in Psalm 35:27 is the Hebrew word “Shalom,” which means “completeness, soundness, welfare, peace.” This means God has pleasure in His child being complete, which means missing or lacking nothing; soundness which means established and prudent in His Word and wisdom and in his place and position; welfare which means continually supplied, always healthy, prosperous; and peace which means not toiling, not laboring, not worrying, not anxious, not concerned, always succeeding. And get this. None of it has to do with Heaven. It all has to do with the here and now in this earth. We don’t need “shalom” in Heaven, because Heaven is SHALOM. There is no enemy, no sickness, no financial struggle, no sin, no anxiety, no fear, and nothing of the curse in Heaven. When I address “religion” in this manner, it shuts them down. It doesn’t necessarily mean it has changed their mind. A deceived person doesn’t know they’re deceived until they are set free from the deception.
So, if prosperity is evil, why does it say, “The LORD has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant?” If God is a liar, where does He say He’s against prosperity? It’s not in The Holy Scriptures. It is a made-up deception by satan, leaven, which he has planted in The Body of Christ.
Exhibit B.
Deuteronomy 8:18
But thou shalt remember The LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers [Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob], as it is this day.
The word “wealth” in Deuteronomy 8:18 is the Hebrew word “Chul,” which means “wealth, power, riches, strength” as used in Deuteronomy 8:18. Notice God said He gives us the power that He may establish His covenant or “contract” which He SWORE by Himself to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and TO THEIR SEED.” Are we the seed of Abraham? Read Galatians 3:13-14, and 29. If you are a Believer, you are the seed of Abraham and as such we have access to all God promised to Abraham and to Jesus.
I’ve written this before, but it bears repeating again. There are ONLY two economies in all the earth: the Babylonian or physical economy of satan which is Demand and Supply and The Kingdom of God or Spiritual economy of Sowing and Reaping. This is it. And, as a Believer, you are participating in one or the other. Demand and Supply is the economy of toil and labor. Sowing and Reaping is the economy of speaking and receiving. I’ll write more about this in the next email.
Exhibit C.
Psalm 118:25
Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
The Holy Spirit writes through David, “O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.” The word “prosperity” in Psalm 118:25 is the Hebrew word “tsalach,” which means “make prosperous, send success” as used in Psalm 118:25. See Joshua 1:8 below for a deeper explanation.
Exhibit D.
Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
The word “prosperous” in Joshua 1:8 is the Hebrew word found in Psalm 118:25 above, “tsalach,” which means “make prosperous, send success.” The word “success” is the Hebrew word “sakal,” which means “to be attentive to, understand, to make wise in prospering and having success” as used in Joshua 1:8. “Tsalach” is “materially” and “physically” prosperous and successful. If you study Joshua 1:8 by letting the Holy Spirit guide you in meditation, you will see the divine order of God’s Spiritual Law of Sowing and Reaping. When you are prosperous Spiritually, in turn, you will become prosperous physically and materially. Do you know where else you find this divine order? III John 2 which is Exhibit E below.
Exhibit E.
III John 2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
The word “prosper” in III John 2 is the Greek word “euodoo,” which means “to prosper, to be successful” as used in III John 2. Interestingly enough, “prosper” in III John 2 is, according to Thayer Greek Lexicon, the same meaning as the Hebrew word “tsalach” found in Joshua 1:8, which is the Exhibit D. I’ve written about this in previous teachings but examine III John 2. It tells me that when my soul prospers, my material [prosper] and physical [health] will prosper. Why? Remember we are taught there are two parts to our heart: Spiritual and soul. The Spiritual is the half of my heart composed of God’s Spirit. The soul is the half of my heart that is my spirit. There are two influencers of the soulish part of my heart: my flesh [corrupt] and the Spiritual part of my heart. It is the flesh through which satan comes to influence my soulish heart. The Holy Spirit is influencing my soulish heart through the Spiritual part of my heart. The soulish part of my heart contains my mind, will, and emotions.
Exhibit F.
Psalm 112:3
Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
The Holy Spirit is speaking to the state, or status, of an upright, or righteous, man who believes and decrees The Word of God in faith. Psalm 112:2 says, “his seed [children and generations] shall be mighty upon the earth. What beautiful, gracious, and merciful Words from our Father. So, if prosperity is bad, why does God decree Psalm 112:3? Look Sisters and Brothers, as you can see, the anti-prosperity message is from satan. It is not from God. Just as God created sex for procreation and for pleasure between a married man and woman (have to qualify this today), it can be wrongly used for carnal pleasures. God didn’t create money, but He did create prosperity. He is the author of prosperity. Prosperity, like sex, can be used rightly or wrongly by God’s children. But God NEVER, EVER said no to prosperity in this earth. Quite the opposite. He said He wanted His will done in this earth just as it is in Heaven. In The Court of God, the anti-prosperity message is found to be guilty of slandering and blaspheming The Word of God and placing His children in wrongful bondage.
In closing today’s message, always, always keep God the center of and final authority in your heart. If we do this, then “the love of money” will never become an issue with us. Our love will be in giving the money away as God commands us to bless others as we’re charged to do in Genesis 12:2-3. We will then live in the true prosperity of God. And God’s true prosperity is to bless not only us, the Believers, but it is also to be used by us to bless others. We can’t bless others if we’re not willing to believe and exercise The Word to live in God’s prosperity. God’s idea of prosperity is radically different than our limited human minds. This is why head knowledge can’t accept The Word. Only the spiritual heart can discern and accept it. Remember this, the blessing is when we give. What is the blessing related to giving. Giving with the right heart attitude and expectation provides a hundred-fold return so your giving can grow. Each year our goal should be to grow our giving. Growing our giving will grow our receiving.
Much love in Christ Jesus,
Larry
