Hope, Joy, Gratitude, and Success (SHGS) Ministry

A Ministry of Seojin and Brandon Peery

I have personally witnessed the love of Jesus Christ and the love of the South Korean people exhibited by Seojin and Brandon Peery.  They have been members of Christ Centered Church of Tampa (CCCT), Dianne’s and my home church, for the past several years.  Seojin and Brandon have been wonderful participants in The Kingdom’s work by teaching Sunday School and being a part of the Worship Team as well as attending many classes taught by the Caleb’s Promise Ministry and the Charis Bible Studies at CCCT.  At the same time, they conduct the SHGS Ministry to South Korea.

Seojin and Brandon’s Ministry is good soil in which to plant your seeds of offering.  They are leaving in the next week to head to South Korea to launch the first church God has called them to open and grow.

Introduction

Since 2019, Seojin and Brandon have been preaching the Gospel of Grace through their YouTube channel called SHGS, boldly proclaiming the truth in the midst of deeply rooted religious traditions within South Korean churches.  SHGS, in the Korean language, means hope, joy, gratitude and success in Christ.  They share not only sound biblical teaching but also their own testimonies of freedom in Christ — revealing what Jesus truly accomplished on the cross and how it radically transforms lives.

Vision

Their primary ministry focus is young adults in South Korea, particularly those in their 20s to 40s.  Many in this generation have grown disillusioned by religious legalism passed down from previous generations, and some had even walked away from the Lord — only to return with a hunger for truth.  Seojin and Brandon help them rediscover the love of God and the grace of Christ’s cross, so they may become true disciples of Jesus and ambassadors of His Kingdom on earth.

Beyond South Korea, their vision expands to nations like North Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Central and South Asia — using business as a mission platform to carry the Gospel further.

Background

Brandon first came to South Korea in 2013, fell in love with the nation, and eventually encountered Jesus in a personal and powerful way.  He then enrolled in Charis Bible College in 2016 and graduated in 2018 with a burning missionary vision for Korea.  After completing her graduate studies in the UK, Seojin returned to South Korea in 2018.  Following God’s leading, she launched the YouTube channel in 2019 in obedience to His voice.  Seojin and Brandon first met in July 2019 at Charis Bible College in Woodland Park, Colorado.  A month later, they reunited in Korea, began their relationship, and started ministering together to young people through the YouTube platform.  They were married in Florida in 2022 and have continued preaching the Gospel together ever since.

Current Ministry

By God’s grace, Seojiin’s and Brandon’s YouTube channel has grown to nearly 22,000 subscribers and is approaching 4.5 million total views.  They focus on producing videos that address the real concerns of this generation through the lens of God’s Word.  In addition, they lead various discipleship programs such as Bride School for Christ, Kingdom Business, and the Christian Mastermind Book Club — all designed to help individuals renew their minds (Romans 12:2) and walk in transformation.  Many souls are encountering the love of Jesus and experiencing real breakthroughs in their lives.

However, Seojin and Brandon’s vision extends beyond the online space.  They long to see those who have been personally and powerfully transformed now gather in a safe and nurturing spiritual community — a local church established in the heart of Seoul.  This church will not only serve as a hub for the Gospel across Seoul and the nation, but also function as a Christian creative center, empowering believers to grow and collaborate in Christ. The launch of this first church is prayerfully planned for 2025.

Invitation

Following God’s promise in Psalm 81:10—“Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it” — Seojin and Brandon open wide their hearts and ask for your prayer and partnership in this mission.  They have been sent as Gospel missionaries to Korea, and like Isaiah who responded to God’s call saying, “Here am I. Send me” (Isaiah 6:8), they are faithfully fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.

By partnering with this ministry, you can help raise up countless disciples who are baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and who are trained to obey everything the Lord has commanded (Matthew 28:18–20).

Let’s help build the Kingdom of God together by faithfully supporting Seojin and Brandon’s ministry to South Korea.
