The Anointing – Do You Have It – Part II

Good Morning Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

What an awesome Heavenly Father we serve!!  A Father who sees us as perfect, as holy, as righteous, as sinless through Jesus Christ our King, Lord, Savior, Redeemer, and our Elder Brother.  He also sees us as abundantly prosperous, abundantly healthy, abundantly protected, abundantly delivered, and abundantly favored.  How awesome is this!!  Praise God for an unconditional love that passes all our understanding!  Remember from previous teachings, if you cannot see and declare that which God sees, you cannot have it.

June 18, 2019, I sent an email entitled, “The Anointing – Do You Have It?”  This is the Part II to the previous email.  Please go back and re-read Part I to refresh your memory.  Part II will address how you, the Believer, receive the “Anointing of the Holy Ghost.”  In Part I, the difference between the “power” of John 1:12, to be sons of God, and of Luke 24:49, to be endued with power from on high, was detailed.  When a Believer confesses Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, as the Son of God, as resurrected from the dead and sitting at the right hand of God, the power of John 1:12 takes effect – authorization to be a son or daughter of God.  However, for a Believer to receive the power of Luke 24:49, there is another step required.  A great majority of Believers never make it to this step because they are never taught it.  Denominational doctrines and beliefs prevent this from happening.  In other words, wrong teaching and preaching prevents the Believer from receiving the anointing or becoming “endued with the power from on high.”  Bluntly put, this is another attack of Satan on God’s Word and against those called the sons of God.  If Satan can confuse Believers with errant words, he is able to prevent the Believer from being able to walk in the divine power which can change everything, and I mean everything, around them.

Before I explain how to receive the “baptism of the Holy Ghost,” it is important to explain the Holy Spirit (also known as the Holy Ghost), and Its dual role.  The dual role is expressed in John 1:12 and Luke 24:49 as well as several other scriptures.  John 1:12 speaks of the Spirit that indwells us “at the moment” we are saved and blesses us individually, and Luke 24:49 speaks of the Spirit that “comes on us” when we receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost and produces blessings for us and blessings for others.  The Spirit within us (John 1:12) begins to cultivate the nine fruit of the Spirit of Galatians 5:22-23.  The fruit are not emotions.  They are a state of being.  Emotions are fickle; a state of being is persistent.  The nine gifts of the Spirit of I Corinthians 12:7-11 are connected to the Spirit upon us (Luke 24:49).  Jesus, when He was born, had the Spirit of God in Him, the “exousia” power.  This is what we receive when we are saved.  When Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, He was anointed with the “dunamis” power that came upon Him.  Jesus was empowered or anointed to perform the miracles of healing, raising the dead, casting out demons, feeding the 5,000, changing wine to water, cursing the fig tree, calming the wind and the storm on the lake, etc.  Believers, when they receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, are given the same anointing, or power, to do the same works Christ did and to do greater works (John 14:12).  The indwelling or “exousia” power is for “fruit bearing,” and the “dunamis” power, or anointing that comes on us through the baptism of the Holy Ghost, is for service to others and for a sign.

The “anointing” or the “baptism of the Holy Ghost” is the prayer for and the receiving of the Holy Ghost on you.  But Larry, I received the Holy Ghost when I accepted and confessed Jesus Christ as my Savior.  Yes, you received the “exousia” power in you – the first role of the Holy Spirit.  But, to walk in complete power, you need the “dunamis” power on you.  Jesus was and is our example.  When you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you were born again.  Your old nature, that of disobedience, is replaced with the nature of the Godhead – righteousness, through the Holy Spirit, the Godhead indwelling you.

II Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The Hebrew word for “creature” in II Corinthians 5:17 is “creation.”  The born-again Believer is a “new creation,” a “new birth,” a “new species.”  The “old things” referred to in II Corinthians 5:17 is your old spirit and everything to do with your old spirit such as death, sickness, poverty, anxiety, depression, oppression, terror, disease, fear, struggle, chaos, etc.  Your new Spirit is from God and contains all the “new things” such as life, creativity, wisdom, prosperity, deliverance, protection, favor, promotion, love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control, riches, power, strength, honor, glory, and The Blessing.  In other words, you have received the “power” of John 1:12 at your new birth – “power or authorization to become the sons of God.”  This is your uniform and badge that authorizes you.  Now, you need the actual tangible power to carry out the authorization of the badge and uniform.  This is what Jesus is referring to in Luke 24:49.

Ok, so how do I receive the “baptism of the Holy Ghost?”  It’s very simple.  Just as you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will use the same faith to receive the baptism or filling of the Holy Ghost.  I would recommend you find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed, where you can speak freely without fear of being heard or interrupted.  Simply thank Jesus for your salvation and acknowledge you want to complete your relationship with Him through the baptism of the Holy Ghost.  Then ask the Holy Spirit to come on you.  Once you do, I encourage you to then open your mouth and begin to utter whatever comes to your lips.  Don’t be afraid of what you hear or speak.  It may seem like gibberish to you, but it is the holiest of languages being prayed by the Holy Spirit within you.  This is what the Apostle Paul calls “speaking in tongues.”

I Corinthians 14:18

I thank my God, that I speak with tongues more than ye all:

Just let the speaking flow and continue until it abates or comes to a natural end.  This is where religion interferes and stops Believers from receiving the anointing of the Holy Ghost.  Between the wrong teachings about the baptism of the Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit, and Satan attacking your thoughts telling you this is not true, that it is gibberish and emotions, that it is not real, you will have immediate thoughts against the speaking you have just done.  Resist these thoughts planted by religion and Satan.  Don’t allow Satan to steal the seed of the “dunamis” power, or anointing, you have received.  Instead, practice it often.

“Larry, what is tongues, what is the purpose of speaking in tongues, why is it necessary, why do I need to do it?”  Great question.  The tongues, or language you speak, is the holiest of languages.  It is a spiritual language prayed by the Holy Spirit within you.  You will not understand what you are praying.  It is not intelligible to the natural mind.  However, it is what you would call, “perfect prayer.”  It is prayed from the Holy Spirit within you, it is prayed perfectly, it is prayed according to the spiritual laws of God, it involves no selfishness, no envy, no strife, no corruption, no natural emotions, and it gets action and results.  There’s no “hit or miss” praying here.  It hits the target every single time.  Any time I’m seeking wisdom from God, seeking understanding of the knowledge of God, seeking a solution to an opportunity (no such thing as a problem, only opportunities for success), I pray in tongues, and I ask the Holy Spirit to provide me with an interpretation of what I’ve prayed.  Now, don’t expect an audible voice to come to you right away and give you a translation.  It won’t.  The Holy Spirit will give your soul an interpretation of what was prayed in your Spirit at the appropriate time.  With me, it comes largely when I’m reading/studying scripture or when I’m in meditation or prayer.  However, there are times when it just hits me like a bolt of lightning out of the blue.  Lastly, there are times when some other godly Believer will say something to me which the Holy Spirit says, there is your answer or your interpretation.  Let me just say it’s awesome!  You know when you’ve received the interpretation.  God’s Spirit in you will identify with the interpretation and make it clear you’ve received the answer.  The more you use it, just as an athlete, the more proficient and powerful you become at it.  You will see RESULTS in your life.

I have to wrap this up because I could go on and on.  But let me finish with this.  If you reject this, you reject it at your own expense.  If you don’t have the baptism of the Holy Ghost, you have only the “exousia” power, but you DON’T have the “dunamis” power of the “anointing.”  Even Jesus Christ had to receive the anointing.  Are you greater than Christ?  You need this power to consistently do the works of Christ and the greater works you’ve been commanded to perform (John 14:12).  I highly recommend you purchase the following book entitled, “The New You and The Holy Spirit” by Andrew Wommack.  You can buy it from Amazon in hardcover or paperback.  It will explain this in much greater detail and with examples.

Don’t let this bypass you.  God loves you dearly, whether you’ve received the baptism of the Holy Ghost or not.  However, God has spiritual laws He has spoken, and He cannot break them.  He dearly wants you blessed with the same anointing given to Jesus.  God, the Father, wants you operating at the same level as His Son, your joint-heir (Romans 8:17) Jesus Christ.  He wants you in victory ALL OF THE TIME.  You don’t have to fail.  You choose to fail.  You can have victory in everything all the time.

Romans 8:37

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him [Christ] that loved us.

Walk Mighty in The Blessing and in the Mighty Tongues of God the Father,

Larry
