Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ Jesus,
This message will be the last of the “End Times” series for a period of time. As I mentioned in previous messages, this “End Times” series was not designed to do a deep dive on any period or event of the End Times. Instead, it was to provide us with enough information to continue doing a deeper dive into God’s Word as diligent students on our own.
This message will focus, at a high level, on the New Heaven and the New Earth which will come after the Great White Throne Judgment. The Great White Throne Judgment comes after the end of the Millennium. Before we dive into the New Heaven and the New Earth, I need to quickly clear up one error from a previous message. I inadvertently (mind racing ahead of my fingers on the keyboard) referred to the Dispensation or Age of Grace as also being referred to as the Dispensation or Age of the Fulness of Times. This is incorrect. The Dispensation of the Fulness of Times refers to the last dispensation of “this earth.” This dispensation will occur with the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ. We see this in Ephesians 1:10.
Ephesians 1:10
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He [God] might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him [Christ]:
All things, in the Heaven and in the earth, will be gathered together in The One, Christ Jesus, with the Millennial Reign as Christ reigns over the earth, with us, the Believers, with a Scepter or Rod of Iron.
The Millennium ends with the Battle of Gog and Magog, which satan leads after being loosed from being chained in the abyss. satan comes against Yeshua and His saints at Jerusalem. God rains down fire from Heaven and consumes all the armies. satan is taken by Yeshua and cast into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are already cast.
At the conclusion of the 1,000-year Millennial Reign, the Great White Throne Judgment will occur. What happens during the Great White Throne Judgment? Revelation 20:11-15 gives us a clear understanding.
Revelation 20:11-15
11 And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from Whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
A good question to answer is “who” appears before God at the Great White Throne Judgment? No, Believers do not appear before God, but Believers will be attendance and observing. So, “who” does appear before God during this judgment:
- Every unbeliever who died before the Tribulation.
- Every unbeliever who died during the Tribulation (they took the mark of the beast and worshipped the image).
- Every unbeliever who died during the Millennial Reign (they did not accept Jesus Christ as their Savior).
All of those who appear before God at the Great White Throne Judgment will be cast into the lake of fire, which is their final abode for ALL eternity. The beast, the false prophet, satan, and all the fallen angels and demons, all that is evil, will be cast into the lake of fire with those unsaved.
After the Great White Throne Judgment, our Father Yahweh will purify the earth and the heavens (not the third Heaven which is God’s current abode) with His purifying fire.
Revelation 21:1-5
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Now, it is important to understand something most of us were never taught about the New Heaven and the New Earth – about eternity. There will be three groups of people in the New Earth:
1.) Group of righteous people from various nations who possess mortal bodies just like Adam and Eve did before the fall.
2.) Nation of Israel who will possess mortal bodies just like Adam and Eve did before the fall.
3.) The Church (those raptured) who possess glorified, immortal bodies.
The Church, those raptured, is the only group that will live in the New Jerusalem with God and Jesus and will rule and reign with Jesus. The Church will reign over the mortals of the New Earth.
Revelation 21:23-26
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and The Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.
Verse 24 – “Nations” = Greek word, “ethnos,” which means nation or a particular race of people. Our English word “ethnic” is transliterated from this word. Because “nations” is plural, it is referring to many ethnicities or different races just as there are in the earth now.
Verse 24 – “shall walk” = Greek word, “pereepateho,” which means “walk.” This is not referring to a literal “walk” but a figurative walk meaning “a way of living” or “how it conducts itself.”
Verse 26 – These “nations” and their kings live outside the city of Jerusalem and will bring their glory and honor into the city. This means they are not part of the bride of Christ.
Those persons that came through the Tribulation without taking the number or mark of the beast and accepted Christ, will not be deceived by satan at the end of the Millennium, and they will enter eternity as “saved mortals.” They’ll have bodies just as Adam and Eve did before the fall.
Those that don’t make Jesus their Savior by the end of the Millennium will be deceived by satan and will be consumed by fire and cast into the lake of fire.
How do we know this group of people are not immortals, but mortals? How do we know these people will have mortal bodies like Adam and Eve did before the fall?
Revelation 22:1-2
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Verse 2, the Tree of Life on both sides of the river – so there are two of them.
Verse 2 – “Healing” is the Greek word “therapiah,” which means to heal or cure or to promote health. This is where we get our English word therapeutic. Notice the “nations” will come up and into Jerusalem monthly for the healing provided by the leaves of the Tree of Life. Revelation 21:24 tells us the nations and kings of the earth shall enter the gates and walk in the New Jerusalem bringing their glory and honor to God and to Jesus. However, they will not live there. They will live outside New Jerusalem.
God created the earth and in the Garden He put all manner of trees including two special trees, the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Genesis 2:9 tells Adam and Eve ate of every tree in the Garden except for the Tree of Good and Evil. This tells us Adam and Eve ate of the Tree of Life. Adam and Eve, before the fall, lived in the Dispensation of Innocence. They had no clue what evil was until they ate of the forbidden tree (Genesis 3:22-23). They were banned from the Garden after the fall to prevent them from eating of The Tree of Life in their fallen state and making it a permanent or eternal state.
The whole purpose of The Tree of Life was to provide for a mortal body to live forever. The word “Mortal” means “subject to death, but not yet dead.” Adam and Eve, before the fall, had mortal bodies that lived in an immortal state because of eating of the Tree of Life once a month. This will be true of the saved mortals in the New Heaven and New Earth.
Revelation 2:7
He that hath an ear, let him hear what The Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Revelation 2:7 applies to those who are saved in the Tribulation and in the Millennium. Those who are raptured, as we’ll see in I Corinthians 15:52-53, below, are immortal with gloried bodies like Christ Jesus and do not require the leaves of the Tree of Life to maintain their mortal bodies in an immortal state.
I Corinthians 15:52-53
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
I Corinthians 15:52-53 speaks to the rapture. “Twinkling” is how fast light passes through one’s retina. It is hundreds of times faster than a blink. In essence, it will be instantaneous with the last trump sounding. Our mortal bodies will be transformed into immortal bodies that cannot die and does not require eating of the Tree of Life. Our bodies will be like that of Christ Jesus.
We, the Raptured, won’t need to eat of The Tree of Life. The saved mortals will need to eat of the Tree of Life, once a month, to live on in an eternal state.
Revelation 22:3
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of The Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him:
God will live in the City and His Throne will be there. The new earth will be like the Garden of Eden before the fall.
Revelation 22:4
And they shall see His [God] face; and His name shall be in their foreheads.
We will all be able to see God’s face and live. Just as Adam and Eve walked with God and saw His face before the fall, we will be able to do the same. So will the saved mortals. The immortals and mortals will have the name of God in their foreheads.
Revelation 22:5
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for The Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
“They” refers to those who were raptured and are immortal. The glory of God will illuminate New Jerusalem. We, the immortals, will rule and reign with Christ over the mortals, forever. The mortals will continue to reproduce. Immortals will not reproduce because we are married to Christ Jesus. We will reign over the continued creation of God with Jesus Christ.
What we rule and reign over is determined by what we do on this earth, in this life. This is why Jesus, Paul, and the other writers of the New Testament encourage and exhort us to focus on, to set our sights on, the things of Heaven because time here is nothing compared to eternity.
Just as there are degrees of punishment in hell and the lake of fire for the unsaved, there are also degrees of rewards and reigning for those raptured who are the immortals in the Millennium and in the New Heaven and New Earth. The treasures, crowns, robes, and other rewards will be given to each of the raptured during the Bema Seat Judgement, which takes place in the Marriage Chamber of The Lamb. During the Marriage Supper of The Lamb, Yeshua’s bride, us the raptured, will be presented to God and to the Heavenly hosts. The New Earth and New Heaven is not socialism or communism. It is capitalism. There is no equity. We are rewarded for the works we do for Christ Jesus in this life, in this earth.
I pray the past messages on the “End Times” series have been a blessing to you. I pray you’ll also launch with the knowledge you’ve gained in these messages and do a detailed study of Revelation. Revelation 1:3 tells us there is a special blessing to those that read aloud, hear, and keep what is written in it. Have you earned this blessing yet? Don’t put it off any longer. Obey The Lord Yahweh and commit your entire being to Him. As I’ve always encouraged, obey God’s commandment in I John 4:1 and try the spirits, The Word, to ensure what I’ve written to you is The Truth. We’re never to just take anyone’s word for it. We only take God’s Word.
Blessings in Christ Jesus,
Larry
