Good Afternoon Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
When Jesus Christ redeemed us (Galatians 3:13-14) from the curse, toil was removed from the Believer. What is toil? According to the 1828 Webster Dictionary, toil is, “to labor; to work; to exert strength with pain and fatigue of body or mind, particularly of the body, with efforts of some continuance or duration.” Have you toiled in your life? Are you still toiling today? When Jesus Christ redeemed us, He removed “toil.” You see, toil is of the curse. We have no reason to allow the curse to operate in our lives. If we do, it is completely voluntary on our part because Jesus removed it.
Galatians 3:13-14, 29
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and He [God] addeth no sorrow [in the Hebrew, sorrow means “toil] with it.
Proverbs 10:22 is given to us, as Believers, through the blood covenant between God and Abraham, the old covenant, and God and Jesus Christ, the new covenant, of whom we are joint heirs (Romans 8:17). You see, “The Blessing” is tangible in the Spiritual realm, but you cannot see it in the physical realm. You can see the tangible results of The Blessing in the physical realm. The Blessing is spelled out in God’s Scriptures, His Word. When you decree God’s Word, in faith, there is action in the Spiritual realm which results in a physical manifestation.
The Word is a living force that can be seen in the Spiritual realm. Jesus tells us as much in John 6:63. Jesus tells us the Words He speaks are Spirit, and they are life. I know, it is difficult to wrap our heads around The Word being a force with substance in the Spiritual realm. However, we can’t see the angels which are in the room with you unless God commands them to manifest themselves physically. This doesn’t change the fact they are in the room with you and me. We can’t see The Word in the Spiritual realm, but we can see the physical manifestation of it fulfilled on earth.
John 6:63
It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life.
The world’s system of toil says you must work for everything you receive. The Kingdom of God says you must believe for everything you receive. The world’s system is based in toil, and the Kingdom of God is based in rest. I know it may seem odd to you, but Jesus, the second Adam, came to restore that which the first Adam had lost and to teach us how to operate in the Kingdom of God whereby we don’t toil through unbelief, but enter the rest of belief. Adam and Eve spoke like God, and what they spoke happened. They purposely did this because God created them in the image and likeness of the Godhead. Jesus restored to us to rest through His redemption. Jesus even gave us examples in the Gospels [Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John] before He paid the price to purchase redemption for us. What Jesus did, we can do also. How? By faith.
Most Believers see their job or their business as their source and supply. Nothing could be further from the Truth. Did Adam “earn” a living before the Fall? Of course not, and neither are we to do so. You see, we’ve confused our job or our business with our supply. The job or business is to release our potential. However, God is the supply. If we are depending on our job or business to be our supply, then we’ve cut out God. If we depend on our job or business, we’ve removed God from His role as Jehovah Jireh or “the Lord will supply.” God is no longer the center of our lives. We are. Our success, if we achieve any, is through our own strength. Whatever we do achieve in our own strength will be far below what God has ordained for us to achieve and will require a lot of toil.
We have example after example throughout God’s Word of Believers depending upon God to supply their needs and wants (desires). Below are listed just a few examples:
God providing Abraham a ram for the sacrifice in place of Isaac in Genesis 22:13.
God instructing the Children of Israel to ask the Egyptians for all their gold, silver, and expensive raiment in Exodus 12:35-36 (pay attention to this. It is happening again, right now, with the wealth transfer from the sinner to the expectant righteous person before the Rapture occurs. Expectant Believers will receive this transfer to use for God’s Kingdom in these last days and to strip Satan’s kingdom of much of his financing. See Proverbs 13:22).
God providing everything for the Children of Israel during their 40 years of wandering in the desert in Deuteronomy 2:7 and Deuteronomy 29:5.
God providing for the widow woman and her two sons in II Kings 4 by using the oil in her house as the seed for a great financial harvest. The widow woman was about to lose her two sons to creditors who were going to put them in bondage.
Jesus providing a net busting draught of fish in Luke 5 for Peter and for all his partners after Peter and his partners had toiled the night prior and caught nothing. This one catch changed the entire economy in the Capernaum area.
God created the Sabbath rest, the seven-year rest, and the fiftieth-year rest of the Old Testament as examples, or shadows, of what was to come in Jesus Christ – the final rest. We, as Believers, entered the final rest when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior. The Sabbath rest, the seven-year rest, and the fiftieth-year rest are all in Christ so that we can have rest every single day of our earthly lives. However, many of us, as Believers, have failed to exercise the rest through unbelief.
Hebrews 4:10-11
10 For he that is entered into His [Jesus Christ] rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Verse 11 is describing the Children of Israel in Numbers 13 and 14 who refused to cross the River Jordan into the Promised Land and enter into God’s planned rest for them. Instead, because of their unbelief, as verse 11 points out, the Children failed to enter the Promised Land and failed to receive all their wants fulfilled. God did provide for them during the 40 years of wandering, but they only had their needs met. None of their wants or desires were met. Don’t be like them. Be like the Children of Israel, led by Joshua and Caleb, who did enter the Promised Land and experienced the following:
Deuteronomy 6:10-11
10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which He sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
11 And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
12 Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
In closing, God means for you to RECEIVE that which He has already provided for you and to walk in His rest. If you’re willing to be obedient to God’s Word in faith, decree, and believe it, you’ll experience exactly what God had for the Children of Israel in Deuteronomy 6:10-11.
Remember, God’s not interested in hearing about your problem. He is interested in hearing about His solution – which is always in His Word. Pray the solution, not the problem. This is called decreeing or giving an order like a general or a king. When you do this in faith, God acts speedily on His Word. It will come to pass. It must because of the blood covenant between God and Jesus.
Walk mighty in The Blessing of God.
