Good Morning Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Jesus instructed us in the well-known verse of Matthew 6:33 not to worry about the things we need or our desires as the Gentiles do (speaking of the unsaved world, those that don’t know Jesus Christ as their Savior), but to do the following:
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Let’s break this verse down. “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God…” What is Jesus speaking of in this part of Matthew 6:33? He is instructing us to learn how to operate in the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is a Spiritual government with Spiritual Laws that when operated result in the fulfillment of one or more of the Promises of God for the Believer. We are told this in Isaiah 9:6.
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
The government spoken of in Isaiah 9:6, a verse which we’ve all heard many times in church, is the Kingdom of God. It is NOT the government of Rome, or the Roman occupation, as is so wrongly taught in most churches. Notice in Matthew 11:28-30 that Jesus refers to a “yoke.” The “yoke” is the government referred to in Isaiah 9:6. It says in a paraphrased fashion, “take My government, or My Kingdom, upon you and learn of Me…..and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
For those of you that want to study further, look at Isaiah 10:27 below. “His” in the verse is referring to Satan. Notice the yoke of Satan will be destroyed because of the Anointing. This is referring to Jesus. Jesus’ name is not Jesus Christ, although it is common to refer to Him in this way. It is “Jesus The Christ.” “Christ” in the Greek means, “the Anointed One.” So, Jesus’ name is “Jesus the Anointed One.” Jesus destroyed the yoke or bondage of Satan at the cross and resurrection. Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah 10:27.
Isaiah 10:27
And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the Anointing.
Where is the Kingdom of God located?
Luke 17:21
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Jesus makes it very clear the Kingdom of God is in a Believer. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, the Kingdom was placed in you as part of the Spirit of God. Now, you must learn, from studying the Scriptures, how to manifest the Kingdom of God in your heart and use it to manifest things in this physical realm through the spoken decree of God’s Word. Notice in Romans 14:17, the Kingdom of God is not physical, but Spiritual. It is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost – the Spirit within you.
Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Let’s look at the next part of Matthew 6:33 which says, “Seek…..and His righteousness..” What does “righteousness” mean in this verse? No, it is not your behavior or conduct. That is “holiness.” “Righteousness” means “right standing.” We are to first seek the Kingdom of God – how to operate in the government of God – and then we are to seek His righteousness or right standing. What is our “right standing?” Our right standing is defined by I John 4:17
I John 4:17
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He [Jesus] is, so are we in this world.
Notice as Jesus is, so are we in this world. I’m not going to take the time to go into the deep study of the state of Jesus Christ currently. But, know this, as Jesus is, so are YOU. The “day of judgment” referred to in I John 4:17 above is actually “the day of justice.” Revelation 5:12 tells us the current state of Jesus and what our “day of justice” means.
Revelation 5:12
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
Our right standing is to understand Spiritually that we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ (Romans 8:17), that we have everything Jesus has (Revelation 5:12), and it is given to us to use today, in the earth, not when we get to Heaven (I John 4:17). Our right standing is to understand we are healed physically, we are prospered financially and materially, we are delivered and protected from anything Satan can try and bring against us (Isaiah 54:14, 17), and we are more than conquerors through Christ that loved us (Romans 8:37). We are to be living the “HIGH LIFE” on this earth. Satan has bamboozled much of the Church into believing we must wait till we get to Heaven. Through this bondage, Satan has managed to continue squatting on everything in the earth that belongs to the Church, to Believers. But until the Church, the Believers, learn the TRUTH of God’s Word and truly make Jesus the Anointed One their Savior and Lord of their life, Satan will continue to rule what doesn’t belong to him – the earth. The earth and all the authority, power, and wealth in it belongs to the Believer.
Are you righteous? Are you in right standing before God. Have you taken hold of all of God’s Promises which are freely given to you of God and purchased by Jesus Christ?
II Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in Him [Christ] are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
Every promise of God for you Christ has already said “yes” to it before you ever asked. But you must decree it in faith, or you’ll never receive the promises. Notice in the above verse that when we believe, decree, receive, and act upon a Promise of God in faith, God receives glory by our actions and the praise we give Him for answered prayers.
It is time we throw off the bondage of Satan, and we walk in full confidence of our authority and power in Christ to operate in the Kingdom of God and receive the same results Jesus received while on this earth. If we are not healed, prosperous, delivered, and protected, then we are not in the right standing God has for us. God still loves us dearly, and Heaven awaits, but we will not fulfill God’s will for us on this earth without entering the right standing God has ordained for us.
Walk with the heart of The Lamb and the attitude The Loin.
In Christ,
Larry
