Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
God taught me there are three categories of Believers in this world: the Ignorant, the Double Minded, and the Fully Persuaded. Now, if we picture a jail cell with the door locked, this is the unsaved, those that haven’t acknowledged, accepted, and confessed Jesus Christ as the risen Son of God, the Lord and King of their lives. These people are trapped in bondage, locked up, in the world of eternal death and damnation. Satan is their father. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and King, the jail cell door is unlocked and thrown wide open. We are now in the Kingdom of God, and God is our Father, and Jesus is our King. It is what one does next that places them into one of the three categories of a Believer:
1. Stay in the jail cell. This correlates to the “Ignorant” Believer.
2. Leave the jail cell, return to the jail cell, leave the jail cell, return to the jail cell. This correlates to the “Double Minded” Believer.
3. Leave the jail cell and never return. This correlates to the “Fully Persuaded” Believer.
There are three, among many, Scriptures describing each of the three categories of Believers:
Ignorant:
Matthew 25:29
For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
I’ve written about this verse in previous messages. Jesus is saying everyone that accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and King receives their inheritance from God. The inheritance is based on what Jesus Christ was given which is outlined in Revelation 5:12. However we have to learn how to receive the inheritance. Learning to receive the inheritance is through the wisdom of God. So, if you are diligently seeking God, your reward is His wisdom which enables you to operate with authority and power in the Kingdom of God (Hebrews 11:6). Using His wisdom, we are able to live in abundance Spiritually, physically (health and clear mind), financially, and materially. You need this here and now, not later in Heaven.
The Believer that doesn’t diligently seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33), are left in need and with lack. Jesus tells us in Matthew 25:29 this Believer will even have that which they have taken away from them. By whom? Satan, of course. He is going to rob this Believer and over time take everything (health, finances, material possession, and paralyze the Believers walk with God) from them. This is due to “ignorance” of God’s Word. This “Ignorant” Believer has no wisdom in dealing with Satan. God doesn’t take anything good and perfect (James 1:17) from a Believer. He provides it for us (James 1:17). Satan, the adversary, the destroyer, is who takes it from the Believer. Remember, Jesus tells us in John 10:10 that Satan is a thief who steals, kills, and destroys.
Double Minded:
James 1:6-8
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of The Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
James 1:5 states if any Believer lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, Who SHALL give it to the Believer. Then it goes on to state the condition under which the Believer will receive wisdom in verse 6. The Believer MUST believe when they ask for wisdom, they’ve received it – at the very moment they’ve asked for it. IF THE Believer waivers in their belief that they’ve received wisdom, they DON”T HAVE IT. God calls this Believer a “double minded man or woman – who is unstable in all their ways.” This is true of ALL things we decree or desire. WE MUST BELIEVE when we ask for it, we have it. It may take some time for it to manifest from the Spiritual realm to the physical realm. The time it takes doesn’t mean God didn’t answer your decree or desire right away. We see in Daniel on two occasions of prayer that God answered Daniel’s prayers immediately. However, in one case it took twenty-one days for Gabriel, God’s messenger to get the answer to Daniel because he was opposed by the Prince of Persia, a powerful demon at that time (this is no longer true for us as New Covenant Saints because we have the finished redemptive works of Jesus Christ and His name to put down any Satanic opposition immediately). Remember, God is NOT a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). This means if God did this for Daniel, He does it for EVERY BELIEVER. He answers your prayers immediately if we pray correctly and in faith. We simply have to believe we have it at the time we decree. After we’ve decreed it, the rest of the time, until it manifests, we just thank and praise God that He answered us, and we have it. This is “calling things which be not as though they were (Romans 4:17).”
God also tells us in I John 5:14-15 He answers our prayers, and we have what we prayed.
I John 5:14-15
14 And this is the confidence that we have in Him [God], that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
15 And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
Fully Persuaded:
Zechariah 4:7
Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
Zechariah 4:7 is one of my favorite verses in Scripture. I can see Zerubbabel, a type of Christ, standing before the mountain or valley (something of the curse opposing us and the will of God in our lives) shouting “who are you mountain or valley to stand before me, a son of the Most-High God and friend and Brother, or Sister, to the King of Heaven and earth, Jesus Christ? Zerubbabel is saying it with confidence and sarcastically. Zerubbabel then goes on to shout, here is the headstone signifying the death and leveling of the mountain or valley that tries to defy me, a son or daughter of The Creator and the Great I AM THAT I AM as he shouts “Grace, Grace” to it. Grace is “unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor from Almighty God.” Grace is not a thing, it is a Person, The Lord and King Jesus Christ. He is GRACE! Who or what can stand and oppose Jesus Christ – GRACE? Nothing and no one!!
God has given the Believer the authority and power to do as Zerubbabel has done. The Believer must speak in faith, FULLY PERSUADED, to whatever or whoever, of the curse, opposes him with complete confidence. The Believer’s decree is “yes” and “amen” in Christ (II Corinthians 1:20).
Which Seed is What Believer
In Mark 4:3-20, Jesus tells the parable of “The Sower’s Seed.” There are four types of seed sown and identified by Jesus. The second, third, and fourth types of seed sown relate to the Ignorant, Double Minded, and Fully Persuaded Believer.
Ignorant Believer – Mark 4:16-17
16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.
Double Minded Believer – Mark 4:18-19
18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Fully Persuaded – Mark 4:20
And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred
In the message next week, we’ll take a look at three persons in the Scripture that fit each of the three categories of Believers: Lazarus the Beggar (Ignorant), Lot (Double Minded), and The Canaanite Woman (Fully Persuaded). Then we need to examine ourselves through the Holy Spirit to see which category we fall into. Obviously we want to be in the category of the Fully Persuaded. We’ll see in Lazarus, Lot, and The Canaanite Woman their desires, their words, their beliefs, and what they received. This will be the key as to whether or not all three Believers fulfilled God’s calling in their lives.
Increase comes by the way we measure The Word of God.
In Christ,
Larry
