I pray God’s Word is turning your life upside down and inside out. It’s an awesome thing!
Caleb’s Promise will hold its next meeting Thursday May 10th, 1PM-4:30PM University Club of Tampa, Ybor Room. We will be studying the topic of prayer. What is prayer and how are we supposed to pray? Honestly, how effective is your prayer life? John 14:26 says we can do everything Jesus did and greater. How effective was Jesus’ prayer life? If the effectiveness of our prayers doesn’t resemble Jesus’ effectiveness, then we’re doing something wrong. What is it? Come learn with us what the Holy Spirit will share on this very critical subject.
Three years ago God told me to empty all of my bookshelves of all the business books, thousands of dollars worth of elite wisdom, and dump it into the trash. I even asked God if I could donate them to the Public Library or to a school, and God said no – into the trash they go. It seemed radical at the time, but three years later, it makes perfect sense. In other words, to my flesh, it made no sense to throw away such good books from some of the greatest business leaders of our time. In the spirit, it makes perfect sense because fallen man, in his best state, can’t even begin to approach the power, authority, wisdom, and knowledge that is inside the Believer’s spirit. When you have the Spirit of God inside you, what chance does a natural man – the wisest, the strongest, the richest, the most powerful – have against you? NONE!
Proverbs 3:3-8
3Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about they neck; write them about the table of thine heart:
4So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
8It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
I could write pages on these verses, but we’ll keep it short. I encourage you to meditate for days on these verses and have the Holy Spirit give you deep revelation of them.
Verse 3 – mercy and truth is a description of God’s Word. His Word, Jesus Christ, is mercy and truth. God commands us to keep His Word ever present with us, to indelibly etch His Word into our hearts – our soul.
Verse 4 – for if we do what is commanded us in verse 3, we shall have verse 4 – favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man. This verse is called “The Law of Favor.” Notice, if you want favor with God and man, be ever present in God’s Word. It’s that simple. There is NO other magic formula. It didn’t say pray more, do more, work more, give more, attend church more, condemn yourself more, be more holy. Our Father said SPEND MORE TIME IN MY WORD. In it you will find favor and good understanding. Praise God!
Psalm 5:12
For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass [surround] him as with a shield [nothing of the enemy, our adversary, the devil, can penetrate the shield of favor].
Verse 5 – Our Father commands us to give our WHOLE heart to Him – ALL of our heart. If Jesus Christ is not the center of your life and everything else spins out of the center, Jesus Christ, then you are unbalanced and your life will always be unbalanced. And, we are not to give way to our carnal nature, our flesh, our natural wisdom. We are to ONLY LEAN on God’s understanding, knowledge, instruction, and wisdom. If you choose to do differently, you will be like the man in the following verse, even if you are a follower of Christ:
Proverbs 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man [natural man], but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Verse 6 – I love this verse. God commands us that in EVERTHING we do, not only the big things, the important things, the big deals, etc., but in EVERYTHING, small, insignificant, big, huge, etc., we are to bring it before Him, and He, the Creator, the Alpha and Omega, the I AM THAT I AM, will give you direction in the matter – direction that will ALWAYS benefit and prosper you and yours. Wow!! Praise God!! Thank you Father that nothing I do is insignificant to You, that You love me so much, You want to prosper me in EVERY SINGLE LITTLE THING I DO!! Brothers, I’m shouting and praising God right now. I know, you think I’m crazy getting this excited. In the words of Andrew Wommack, I think you’re crazy if you aren’t excited at these truths. The God of all creation is interested in the smallest, most insignificant thing you’ll do today because He loves you so much He wants it to turn out the very best it can for you. Man, oh man!! I love you Father!!
Verse 7 – I meet so many Believers in this condition. What Jack Welch, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Warren Buffet, etc. have to say about business is more important than God’s Word. Rather than study God’s Word to derive all knowledge, instruction, understanding, and wisdom, they’ll listen to a natural man. Because this natural man has achieved so much, he must be wise, he must be smart, he must be talented, etc. God mocks the wisdom of man. God said the following about the least in the Kingdom of God:
Luke 7:28
For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
Jesus declares there is no man of flesh, no natural man, past, present, or future, born of a woman, that is greater than John the Baptist. This means exactly what it says. All of the figures of history – past, present, and future are not to be compared to John the Baptist. However, when a person accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior, they enter the Kingdom of God. The least in the Kingdom of God is greater than the greatest natural, flesh man of all time.
Are you a Son in the Kingdom of God? Yes, if you’ve accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior. And, if this is true, then the least of those that have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior has more power, authority, wisdom, inventions, ideals, strategies, honor, glory, and blessing than the greatest natural man alive on this earth. It is another lesson altogether, but you can run circles around the names of luminaries if you search out God’s Word with all your heart. God will position you, promote you, bless you, empower you, etc., through His Word to rule the spheres of influence in this world for His glory and honor.
Verse 8 – what is the return on investment (ROI) for verses 5, 6, and 7? Great health!! Great favor!!! Great understanding!! Hey, I didn’t say it, God did. Is God a liar? No, God said all of His promises are established for us unto His glory. I can hear the religious crowd now – you hypocrites, you Pharisees who lead God’s sheep astray – well, some of the promises passed away with the apostles, some of them aren’t meant for us today, God didn’t really mean what He said. Brothers, if you are in a church preaching this today, you need to walk away from it. It is blatant hypocrisy and anti-Christ. You don’t mess with God’s Word. Satan is using the pulpit in many places to keep God’s elect weak, powerless, and unfruitful. This is not the heritage, the inheritance of God’s people. The Deceiver is doing exactly what he did in the Garden to Eve – taking God’s Word and twisting it. And, because the elect don’t study God’s Word, they are duped into believing Satan’s lies and living well below their class of royalty as the Sons and Daughters of God.
II Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in Him [Jesus Christ] are yea, and in Him Amen [so be it established], unto the glory of God by us.
Lastly, who needs the stinking thinking of the world to be successful. My Father tells me right here in Proverbs 18:12 that His Word will give us the knowledge of witty inventions, business strategies, ideas, creativity, etc. Oh the things God’s people could be doing right now that would turn the world upside down if they would love and seek His Word – the TRUTH.
Proverbs 8:12
I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
George Washington Carver, a blessed man of God, who grew up a slave, and later taught at Tuskegee Institute, Alabama, invented over 100 uses for the peanut, among many other things. This man loved God with all his heart and sought out God’s Word constantly. If you read his own writings, he said he would enter his lab and when he would shut the door, God would reveal to him knowledge of all the things he could do with a peanut. Also, during his time at Tuskegee, George Washington Carver produced more millionaires than all of the Ivy League schools combined! Brothers, don’t you dare tell me MY GOD can’t do something and that I CAN’T DO SOMETHING. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me [Philippians 4:13].” God made us little “g” gods and little “c” creators. Why? Because He made us in His image and likeness. We have to quit living like river rats, subsisting on the refuse of the world. God called us to RULE spheres of influence (business, religion, arts and entertainment, government, education, family, and media). God NEVER intended for the heathen to rule these spheres. We, the church, retreated and let Satan, a thoroughly defeated, toothless, raggedy, old imp roar from his little emaciated, powerless spirit, and we cowered in fear. Brothers, not on my watch! I have my five stones and God’s faith in me. My God will rule.
In closing, God can’t do anything for you that you can’t believe and receive. You either give God free reign or you limit Him. Which do you choose?
I love all of you and pray God will give you a deep passion for His Word. Father, I bind the evil forces plaguing my Brothers and myself that bring blindness to Your Word so Your Word can have free reign of us. Those trapped in the deceit of man’s twisting of Your precious Word, I pray and decree their freedom this moment so Your Word can heal, strengthen, and exhort. Help us guard against complacency, against the influence of the world. May we only turn to Your Word and to You in all things. Help us to be the blessing to others you commanded us to be with the seed you’ve given us of our health, prosperity, Your Word. Bless all of these men and their families with the dew of Heaven and the fatness of the earth. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
